According to Rivals, Chris Bivins from Ganesville, Florida received an offer from Kentucky on Tuesday.
The 5'11", 166-pound defensive back has received praise from many top programs across the country. Bivins also holds holds offers from Arkansas, Florida International, Illinois, Marshall, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Navy, North Carolina State, South Carolina, South Florida, Temple, and Utah.
Chris Nee, a recruiting analyst from Rivals.com, talked to Bivins shortly after he received the offer (Here is a link to the entire article-subscription needed):
"They had been dealing with me for a while but they just now pulled the trigger," Bivins said. "They have been recruiting me for about two months. So it felt great to finally get that offer from them."
Bivins claims that several other schools are considering offering him, so his list may continue to grow.
Bivins also says he plans to attend camps at Tennessee, Georgia, South Florida, Florida, and many more. He also noted he'll be a part of Nike's 'The Opening'.
According to Nee, Bivins is hoping to narrow his list of schools down in the coming weeks, but also wants to make clear that it will be open game for any school during any stage of his recruitment.
Nee also noted that Bivins does not have a definite timetable set for his decision.
