Lawrence County came out and shot over 50% from the field and JC shot very very poorly. Free throws make the difference in this game, and would have overcame the horrid shooting for the eagles. Good game Lawrence County. But I wouldnt have the mindset of seeing the score in your favor against the eagles next time. Just one of those games eagles, nothing you can do bout it. Keep your heads up and give it that effort every night and things will fall in place.
Well lets see the stats, were are they, but its the score on the score board that counts. Lets see, did you stop The Thompson connection, I will answer that nope. Did you stop Bradley nope. What did Rice and McCarty have 10 points each maybe 12.
And no they didnt beat us in all aspects of the game, they was out played and was for sure out coached. And its like I have said from about the 8th or 9th game of the season, we have one of the toughest schedules in the region, compare the teams we have played and compare the teams you have played.

Discouraging loss for the Eagles. Who knows what has happened to them this week. I just hope if it was an off week they can get back to what they are capable of. Thompson had an awesome game, but I do think that Sean Music was rattling him a little and was the best answer JC had for him all night. Can't understand why he wasn't allowed to stay on him the rest of the game . Jesse Meek is an awesome defensive player and played with intensity all night. Just wish McCarty didn't feel he had to force so many shots.Rice seems to be in a lump this week, but I expect him to come out and put up the numbers we're used to seeing. Like I said a disappointing loss, but if you think the eagles are out of the running for a regional championship you're very mistaken

Well to start with Mr Music didnt rattle Thompson, he knows when to press the issue and when to pull the throttle back a little, there hasnt been anyone that has rattled him all season. Yes there may have been a game when someone played some D on him, but he will get you in the end.
And eagleclaw this isnt anything toward you its just so many people dont give LC the credit the deserve.
Mr. Rice is know where near the player Thompson is, He cant take you off the dribble, he cant creat his shot ( if its not a catch and turn around 5 feet from the basket he is hurting.) he has no outside shot that I have seen all year. Its just like paperboy stated earlier is by far the best in the region, and the only reason no one says anything is because of the teams record, but so many of you on here have blinders on and only want to give either paintsville or Johnson Central the credit for having the best player in the region. But back to wat else paperboy stated is so true, he can hit shots from all over the floor, and he creats so many shots for himself and others.

I wanna say another thing...Shawn Thompson is the best player in the district. No Landon or Jaime. Mountain Man hands down!!!

I just felt that Music playing him one on one was the best option for slowing him down, because it was obvious as some of LC's fans signs said, there was no stopping him. As for him being better than Rice, in this game he most definetly was hands down. But, I have seen Kyle have some awesome games. Also, I do give LC credit they played an excellent game and after all if you don't give credit to a team that wins over you ,what are you saying about your team? As for the blinders, aren't all true fans supposed to wear them?lol.Good luck to LC the rest of the year. They've sure made this district alot more interesting.

Has Central improved since they played Lawrence the first time? Maybe they had a bad game this night , IDK. I was really impressed by them the first time that we played them, but they didn't look as good to me this second time. The McCarty kid to me is way overblown. He took them out of their game in my opinion, he shot it or forced a shot about eveytime he touched the ball. Rice is no where in the same league as Thompson, so there is no debate there either. I really think that player for player that Lawrence just has better players all around. But I do know that Lawrence has improved by leaps and bounds since the first of the year. I really think that we have a good chemistry with what we put on the floor right now, which just goes to show how a couple of distractions can totally disrupt things.
