Congrats to Braxton!! That is quite an accomplishment for a 7th grader!!! I really hope that he stays in the 14th Regions and doesn't move like others have mentioned.

No. I think OJ Mayo did when he was in 7th grade for Rose Hill. Or it may have been his 8th grade year. But I'm pretty sure it was his 7th.

The kid is a great player who play's beyond his years. But, he has to grow or he will not be able to play at the next level.

If I remember correctly, OJ was All-State Honorable Mention as a 7th grader and First Team All-State as an 8th grader.

Great Player for just a 7th grader. I watched him play in the Mountain Classic. I just hope he stays in the Mountains. Maybe we are looking at another Justice type player from Shelby Valley in the future.

This kid has been fun to watch this season and he has many more ahead of him. Like it or not, this kid is good. Not many kids this age can play at the level of a junior or senior and lead a HS team to the Sweet 16. Plus, the one statement that kills me more than anything is about him being a holdback. WHO ISN'T!!!!! BTW, it is only one year difference and he is still competing against kids much older. Job well done young man!

FYI...http://marshall.scout.com/2/765372.html
OJ was a "holdback" 8th GRADER when he led his team to the KY Sweet 16.
