Jackson Co. vs Lawrence Co.
#31
Anyone know when Clay and Wellman suppose to come back?
#32
clay can return this week but its up to coaches.
#33
What do we know of Jackson Co.? What do they like to do on both sides of the ball?
#34
i believe with lc coming back from a loss this will be a good game but lc will pull it out Dawgs all the way
#35
Easy game for the Bulldogs this week after coming off a tough loss against the Tomcats! I know that some people may not agree but, i think that the Lawrence coaches should sit the key players or atleast sit them after the first half. I'm trying to put Jackson County down but, I think that everyone knows that this is going to be a blowout and I would not want any of my key players getting injured in a game like this.

Lawrence Co. - 49

Jackson Co. - 0

LOSERS QUIT WHEN THEY'RE TIRED, WINNERS QUIT WHEN THEY HAVE WON

JC is young! They have 3 seniors on the team. On defense I think they start atleast 5 freshman maybe? They have some great size, but the kids have to grow up a lot. There is talent on the team, its just getting the kids aggressive and ready to play. They just lost a hard fought, controversial game saturday and should be ready to go at LC. No I am in no way saying they will beat LC, but it does have potential to be a good game IF and only IF Jc would come out ready to play. I'll still give LC the win by atleast 2 TD's though.

^ Wow, 3 seniors??? What was the numbers for that classes freshman year? It's hard to imagine that four years of football would produce three seniors!
#38
Lawrence County needs to find a way to move the ball, with Bently out it will be problematic at best. The defense should be fine from here on out, but the secondary does need some work. If they can use this game to work on how to gain yardage, then they may just be in the shake for district play.

The Daniels kid for LC looks very athletic, does anyone know how good he is??
#40
He is very athletic wish he could have played last year to get more experience. Good attribute at LC.

I agree with your assessment smashmouth. Jackson is really a year away from having a real good football team but they will have flashes of brilliance this season. Some higher ranked teams may go down at their hands when they come to play. I'm predicting a 14 point win for LC,but could be 28 point win if Jackson doesn't come to play.

Wait a minute... Wasn't last week suppose to be a cake walk for this team? I seem to remember one guy saying it would be over by halftime! And many others saying they would beat Ashland by 2 or 3 scores?? Sounds like to me they better take everybody serious til they do get a few under there belt this year.

Cake walk? No, not by any means. Ashland was supposed to win and they did. LC had to play with 3rd string RB, had one of the best defensive players sit because of a broke arm. The injury bug struck this team and that was the difference in the game. LC will be fine down the stretch.

just some kid on here talking they are alot of that from every school. i try not to get into that kind of stuff until i read your post. i always have had respect for ashland in any sport it is ashland. but to have as many players coming back that you guys did i wasn't impressed. you did play a good game not great though not what i expected from such an experienced team. that and some well alot of missed holding calls from your right tackle i just don't like ashland. the game was already played and you beat us but instead of getting on here like some kid talking you better be getting ready for johnson central seems ashland has had some problems there and from what i saw you will again.

Besides the obvious injuries that have hurt LC depth I think one thing that will continue to be an obvious hurdle for the boys is how young they are at key spots. A few years of them maturing and being committed should pay huge dividends down the road.
#47
pitiful schedule, Lc wins.
guess Jc was their second game to get their confidence back up after the ashland loss.

thats not what lost the game, sam hunter started throwing against weak corners to win the game. LCs Defense has never guarded a passing/spread team very well.

This game has "NO" potential to be a good game. Lawrence lost to Ashland, They will take out some frustrations on Jackson county. No game to it....
