Who Will Have the Better Cheer Section?
#1
Since there's already a thread about this huge game coming up, I was thinking about how I cannot wait to watch the cheer sections of Cov Cath and Highlands Friday night. Who do you guys think will bring the bigger cheer section? the loudest? funniest? This should be a very entertaining night, both on the field and in the stands.

:pondering:The norm is that the CovCath student body will come in dressed in clothes that Cher would have turned down in the 70's, be loud, annoying and clever until midway through the 3rd quarter when the game is out of hand. Then they'll quietly sneak off and start talking about how great they'll be next year, how clever the student section will be, and where they can shop for costumes.:trolldad2:

^ Now that made me LAUGH!!!

I think Covcath spends part of the school day working on cheers. They obviously put more focus on cheering than they do football.

I am pretty sure this thread is as relevant as those threads like: The best left-handed freshman right guard that lives within 37 feet of a fire hydrant

This post was all for fun. I don't know about all of you but I greatly enjoy seeing the cheer sections, especially when they play Highlands. It's big enough in the regular season, think about what it will be for the playoffs!

Both schools have great football traditions as evidenced by the number of championships. Both schools have tremoundous school spirit! It's great to see such support by the students win or lose. It makes the game that much more entertaining. I would love to see this one! Danville vs Boyle is also a great rivalry. They Even paint the town store windows black and gold or blue and silver! One of the best environments I've ever seen for a high school game!

I actually appreciate the Covcath cheering section. Especially at basketball games in a hot sweaty gym, or at NKU in the regional.

Put me in the "who cares" category.

I can understand the comment, but when you're used to the parents being the majority
of the cheering section, I have to admit that this is a good idea to get the students and
community behind the boys. It is a little disappointing when the band leaves at half time
with or without their parents and you lose half your cheering section. Hats off to both
Cheering sections.... Make some noise!!!

Strange. The "crazies" seemed a bit subdued. You'd think they'd be used to this kind of game by now.Confusednicker:
