The 13th region All "A" kicks off today as the following games will take place:

Pineville vs. OBI
Middlesboro vs. Jackson Co.

Barbourville vs. Harlan
Williamsburg vs. Lynn Camp



Middlesboro has won this tournament the past 3 years. They made it to the All "A' Final Four in 2009, the All "A" Elite Eight in 2010, and lost in their All "A" sectional game by 1 run last year at Prestonsburg.

The winner of this tournament will face the winner of the 16th region on the road.


Predictions: Obviously, being the incumbent, Middlesboro has the be the favorite. I think Williamsburg will come out of the other side and Middlesboro will win the championship at home by 5 runs.

I assume you're talking about the All "A"? I'm as big a Middlesboro fan as it is but there are several others that are pretty regular contenders. Corbin for one.

You are correct. I was referring to Mboro as the only team in the 13th All A who is the only year in year out contender for the 13th region title. There are indeed other schools in the 13th who are year in year out contenders for the regional crown.

Looks like I have been correct so far. The Jackets should have Epperson and Roark available to pitch tomorrow after Capps pitched 7 against Jackson and Crawford pitched 5 against OBI.
