Are you a UFC Fan
#1
Yes I am.

Oh yeah, for sure.

Really hate these dumbass kids around home though with their gay Affliction shirts and how they think they're pros, lol.

I know right?
I love seeing fat kids with tap out shirts on or something or these little 20 year old d bags who think there bad because theyve fought one or two times against other rednecks.
Professional is okay, its done right, but this local stuff is a joke.

Some local events are good, very good. But the dumbass kids that go on and on about how they're training and stuff. I don't care man, jesus christ! haha.

But yeah, I've seen some good local talent both in NC and KY. Fun to go..thankfully the drinking laws are similar in both NC and KY, at least I think so.

Love the UFC, I actually do article's for a few sites and have trained in BJJ and Kickboxing for about 4 years each. Ive fought a few times, but a lot of the local stuff makes me sick, there is some real talent...but then their are some morons that just bring it down for me.

I guess I am different from many because I enjoy the local cards.
#11
It all depends on where you are from. Here in Lexington, when they put on shows...they are great shows. When I was back in bell county, there where shows in middlesboro, harlan, sometimes corbins....and alot of those cards were full of out of shape kids going in and swining at each other for 30 seconds then laying agaisnt each other huffing for air.

lol, this. Kids that can't even fight getting in there and wasting our time.

Exactly...and kids giving up 40-50lbs, thats ridiculous. There was a show in Corbin last night, not even an hour away...I never even thought about going to that one. I cant wait until another show comes to Lexington.

Huge fan of the UFC and MMA in general...

I have been studying MMA for 6 years and increased my training regiment over the past two years just because I enjoy the sport and it was a good way to get into shape and perfect if you have aggression issues. Because of this I have no intentions to ever sign up for a fight. I just enjoy being involved in it.

With that being said, I keep a low key about it because it seems once you mention it, no one believes you......haha
#15
Or even worse, there is always that one dumbass that wants to fight, or at least spar.
#16
I am in the same boat with Dusty on this one. I like it, but I probably would never go to a live show or order a PPV. If I happened to be a B-Dubs or somewhere that was showing a fight and I had free time, I might go watch.

They tend to have fights all the time over at the old cvic center in corbin and its something else.
The other day on the radio they had the fighters who were fighting on there talking smack. Its sounded like 3 hillbillys raping 4 rednecks inside a wooden box.
I almost made the mistake of paying 20 bucks (yea thats about what it cost) to go a few years ago but wisely back out.

I heard the fights last saturday at the civic center were okay, but nothing special. A big improvement over past shows.

You have to keep in mind though, fighters have to start somewhere...
#20
I agree with that completely. Ive seen and talked to a lot of kids, that have never trained or even worked out a day in their lives, they just sign up and fight and have no idea what-so-ever what they are doing. Every fighter has to start at the bottom, but the kids doing things like this can make it completely unsafe for themselves and other fighters.
