Septoplasty for deviated septum

Ok so I am going on the 1st of August to get a Septoplasty surgery done for a deviated septum. For those of you that don't know, the septum is the wall that seperates the the two nasal passages. Got my nose broke a few times in my young and dumb days and now I cant eat,sleep or breathe very good. Wish me luck and if some of you have ever got this procedure done I would love some input.:Sad04:

It will probably hurt like a (SOB) but they all say no pain no gain. My doc said it's not as bad as just a few years ago. I hope that is true??? If I can breathe like a normal person when it is done it will be worth it. But hey, when I am sitting around the house healing up with nothing to do I can just spend all my time on BGR. LOL:Thumbs:

I had it done a few years back. I know for about 2 years every time i would walk in or out side it felt like my nasal passages would swell. Its all good now & like i said it was several years ago, so im sure procedures could have changed since then.
Just wait and see what comes out of your nose in a few days after the surgery.
FYI, if you smoke dont do it for at least a week after surgery. It will give you one hell of a headache.

So I got my surgery done on the 1st and I am back better then ever. Not been on here for a few days because the drugs they got me on got me a little crazy. Not as bad as I was thinking but I am happy it's over and I can breathe!!!:Thumbs::rockon::Clap::thumpsup::Wave::party2::praise::High5:

This may be a dumb question but was the problem only because you got your nose broken so many times? Or on top of that did you get it pierced or anything else as well?
