I believe Armstrong from Ashland is an alternate.

Washed up, I don't think it should really matter if he is an alternate. Just being named to the team is quiet the honor. Lets honor those kids. I don't know the kid or his team, but, I will say congrats for the hard work to get mentioned. There are alot of kids out there that would love to have been put in that group, alternate or not. I'm sure you didn't mean anything negative by that, I just want everyone to know that is quiet the honor.

Not an insult to Mr. Armstrong in the least, just was trying to correct what was in print. What should be done about the young man who was selected and his name was omitted due to a mistake? Should he get some recognition? Is honorable mention all state the same as making the all state team? Anyway was trying to correct an error.

Well, if his name was mentioned in the first place that should be an honor. Who knows, maybe that one thing is something that will get that kid part of his education paid for. I for one would be all for that.

I agree on the education thing, however you failed to answer either question that I raised. 1. Should the child that was omitted in error not get recognition? 2. Is honorable mention all state the same as making the team? I said nothing about scholarship opportunity. I will move on. Good luck to your son 55 and congratulations Trace (Armstrong)
