Nope. Lets just go to 2 classes. Big and small. It would get interesting.

^ trinity or X would win big school every year, small school would be cool

All I am interested in right now is the attendance figure. If they announce it at 8434 or higher, then this year is the highest since moving to Bowling Green. 8674 will make the average attendance at 8000 for the six games.
There goes the theory about interest in KY football is horrible or at least worse than the last three years.

2009 T vs X = 9962
2010 T vs Male = 9116
2011 T vs Scott County = 6691
2012 T vs PRP = ???
1976 was the only other time that the Big School finals was not in Louisville. Were they spoiled or what?

Wasn't Trinity discussing dropping out of a KY district and becoming one of those traveling teams that okay all over the country on ESPN?

Just goes along with my feeling that the Louisville people are homers and do not travel well. I remember back in college at EKU that a lot of the Louisville students had no idea where some of the places in KY were. Their lack of KY geography was disturbing to me then and I see it continues.
BTW, I live in OHIO and went to BG for game each of the last four years.
For statistical purposes, there was an announced total of 46,738, an average of just under 7,790. That is 6,878 more than 2011, 9,399 more than 2009 (first year in BG) but 1,021 less than 2010.
Year totals are:
2009 37,339 or 6223.17/game
2010 47,759 or 7959.85/game
2011 39,860 or 6643.33/game
2012 46,738 or 7789.67/game
Total for 4 years 171,696 or 7154/game
Largest crowd at BG was in 2010 for the 4A game between Boyle County and Allen Co-Scottsville with an announced attendance of 13,167.
Smallest crowd in BG was in 2009 for the A game between Lexington Christian and Mayfield with an announced attendance of 3,582.
Yes, I love Statistics. I used to teach Statistics before I retired.

Then they could troll other states instead of ours.

Trinity's lone loss of the season was the Cincinnati Moeller.
Moeller won the Ohio Division I (big school) Championship tonight over Toledo Whitmer 20-12.

Trinity, FTH, and probably St. Xavier are the schools that bring a little credibility to high school football in the Commonwealth. Without them, Kentucky has little or no respect outside its borders.
Of course, if you can't beat them, don't compete against them. Fool yourself by playing the other also rans. That seems to be a growing sentiment in Kentucky.

You sir are a true fan. Driving from Ohio to the games is great. I never had a problem driving to Louisville to watch my Purples play. I would have driven to Detroit, if I had to. WKU is a perfect venue for these games.

Back in those days, all championship games were played at different venues in various towns. The '76 final for 4A was the only one played at Commonwealth Stadium. Trinity vs Henderson County and halftime score of 28-24 was also the final score in favor of the Rocks. 1959-1974, only AAA was played in Louisville, as all Jefferson County schools made up the AAA division. Spoiled?
