Don't think Belfry will get by a healthy Bourbon at Bourbon this year. Bourbon is way better than last year and Belfry starts too many freshmen. Bourbon starts zero freshmen and only one or two sophomores

I really don't think the freshman starting at Belfry is going to be a factor of whether they win or lose.. If Belfry gets beat it just means they weren't the better team... Don't let the freshman fool ya.. They will be Battle tested when playoffs get here and Belfry will be poised to make big run in the playoffs...

Belfry will be ready if they get to Bourbon. They love to travel and play football. Hard to say how prepared Bourbon will be even if their team is supposed to be better. Their schedule is terrible. I suspect with the types of teams Belfry will play in their last five games, which is spread teams mainly and some power running as well, the Pirates will be prepared. And believe me, these freshman aren't just some wet behind the ears scared to death kids. They are big, and they play big. So if it comes to a Belfry/Bourbon matchup in the semis, then it should be a dandy. BTW, if as you say Bourbon is better than last year then they need to be because they weren't very good last year. A "fool's gold" schedule gets you nowhere. Also, Belfry will fill your joint just like the great fans from Bourbon did at the CAM last year. One big difference is that the players will ride in school buses and we will load up our cars and trucks and follow the Big Red. No prima donna treatment for us.

By Week 14 being a Freshman is a null point... they are already essentially a Sophomore for game experience by then. Secondly, with the type of schedule Belfry plays vs. the type of schedule Bourbon plays they are more like Juniors in Bourbon County terms.

As Bourbon mercy rules hapless team after hapless team just remember that the great offense you see on the field will have one aspect of it completely removed when you play Belfry. It may be the run, it may be the pass.. but one of the two simply will not work. Then think about how dominant Belfry was offensively last year and consider that Belfry's most dynamic HB did not even play in that game and the FB who ran all over you is one more season stronger.

I think it will be a great game..but when Bourbon plays Belfry you might as well cue up some Aladdin soundtrack because it will be "A Whole New World" that they are experiencing out there.
