Is anybody going to Oaks or Derby day?
Last year was my first ever Derby.... life long resident of KY, but I've only been to one Derby.

I like to watch the Derby on my television set. As far actually going to the Derby, I have no desire.

Why? That where you pitch your tent?? LOL
My husband was an MP in the National Guards for years, and the Derby was one of his annual assignments. I've heard a lot of stories from the "in field".....so many in fact, that I have never been to a Derby.
Be sure and take a picture of your wife's hat again this year. She was smokin' in that frock last Derby!!!

Back in my roaring 20s had many a fun time in the infield and in the stands for the Oaks and Derby. Have always enjoyed the more family friendly environs of the Oaks.
Parenthood has "curbed" my big crowd-party hardy days. Now we enjoy grilling out with family and friends and watching the Derby on TV.
Always a great weekend for the entire state of Kentucky. Enjoy it!

Had Dortmund and Firing Line in an exacta box. Was a very exciting race. It will be interesting to see if Pharoah has the endurance to win at greater lengths!
What do you think SUR?

I see America Pharoah winning the Preakness. Going to wait and see if International Star and Stanford gets in the race. As of right now going to take a chance on.
$10.00 Str-Tri. 1. Firing Line 2. America Pharoah 3. Dortmund
$15.00 str-Tri. 1. Dortmund 2. America Pharoah 3. Firing Line.
I will Tri-Box all three for sure how much I don't know yet. :HitWall:

Going to be a very exciting Preakness and Belmont. Very deep field and great chances to make $$$. Not fond of NY horses but watch out for Frosted who was way too far back in the Derby and finished well.:pondering:
