Magoffin surprises a lot of people and keeps the game close with Devin Rice and Clay Fletcher sitting out. The young guys stepped up and showed some heart. Great games by Stephen Lemaster, Nathan Arnett, and Tyler Hunley. Some other players played good too. AC is a decent team but Magoffin would have made it a better game had Devin and Clay played. But congrats AC!

Congrats to coach Johnny Martin and the Allen Central Runnin Rebs. You beat a tough team tonight.

Magoffin surprised me playing as well as they did. But you have to remember their #2 and #3 contributors were out for this game!

Magoffin played better than I thought they would without Rice and Fletcher, although I still believe AC would have won with those two guys playing. Congrats to AC on the win.

I listened to the second half on WMDJ with Jamn J. Sounded like a great game. MC played much better than I thought without some key players but the JV boys stepped up to play in this one. The radio kept talking about how well MC was going after the ball and swarming for rebounds. Good Job MC and good luck against Lawrence.
Congrats AC on a 20 win season the first 58th team to do so in 5 years according to Jamn J. Sounded like Collins, Martin & Prater played good games. Martin hit to big free throws in the final 30 seconds. Take care of the SF next week at Mt. Raider.

Congrats to the Rebels on a hard fought victory!!!

Congrats Rebels. AC had a big lead in the first half but didn't hold on to it. MC came out in the second half and played an amazing game. The Hornets definitely wanted this game. I'd say at one point AC had about a 20 point lead, MC never gave up though and kept battling back. MC had some nice 3 point shooting in the second half that helped alot and like someone said previously- they swarmed the ball and went hard after the rebounds. Good Luck to MC next week in their district tournament.
Congrats AC on the win. Keep up the hard work and GOOD LUCK next week in the 58th District Tourney. It's a brand new season guys- lets make it a good one.
GO REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!

Well first off Congrats to Allen Central on winning the home finale and getting win #20 on the season. It was a very emotional night were it was Senior night and they honored 12 seniors(including myself), and it was very tough seeing that it was the last home game of our high school days. And then they honored Johnny Martin and had alot of his great players from the 80's, 90's and this century as well. They had alot of gifts for Coach and he was very surprised with everything and he loved every minute of it. After the game they had a surprise dinner in the AC lunchroom for Coach and he was telling all of his stories about his former player in the past and it was a great moment and we all got alot of laughs.
Now for the game, AC started out hot and maintained a solid first half lead, but then it looked like a different team the 2nd half, Magoffin was crashing the boards, going after the loose balls and making some good shots. But in the end AC was able to pull away and get the W which was much needed. Brand new season starts Tuesday at Hi-Hat. AC THE DRIVE FOR FIVE!!! Congrats Guys!

With those 2 guys playing it would have been a totally different game. You can't say who would have won because we will never know but Fletcher is the best defender Magoffin has and Rice is an excellent low post threat!

Maybe we can both play hard next week in District Tourney and meet up again in Regional Tourney.

After seeing Devin's ankle I don't think he will be playing. So it will be hard for Magofifn to make it to region!

What exactly is wrong with his ankle? Sprain, brake, fracture or what?

He got it x-rayed friday, but I have not heard anything else about it. If i was guessing I would say an extremely bad sprain maybe even a little hairline fracture or something like that. The way it looked it sure can't be good. But the coaching staff and Devin are doing everything they can to make it get better by districts!
