Breathitt County 67 Wolfe County 59
#1
Final from Campton. Bobcats 55th district champs
#2
Wolfe had their chances late. Missed opportunities that Breathitt was able to take advantage of.
#3
Waiting patiently for the "he can't coach" crowd.

It was an entertaining game to watch. Both teams played hard. Good luck to both in the 14th region tournament.

Tied with a minute to go. No shot clock. Wolfe jacks up a 3. I'm sure that is just what he had drawn up.

Wolfe had the ball with a minute left and the game was tied. They have good guards. Should have took it down to the last shot and won it or went to overtime.
They took a quick shot and end up losing by 8.
Hate to see Wolfe lose this game but both teams are playing for something bigger next week.
Wolfe just has to be better at the end of quarters. That’s winning time in high school basketball.

Nothing against Coach Noble, but when you have a kid you can't guard, such as Tolson, you may want to switch out of "man to man" defense. If nothing else, just to give a different look. Also, If I'm Noble, I'm posting up Collins on the block and telling him to stay within 10 to 15 feet of the basket at all times. If utilized correctly, no one in the region can match up with his height and athletic ability.

Wolfe didn’t play great team ball. A LOT of forced up bad looks from 3. Missed 3-4 point blank layups that hurt a lot. #4 for Breathitt was hands down the best shooter on the floor. Kid is a killer from deep! I was curious if the player that threw his medal for Wolfe during the award presentation was a senior? With how frustrated he seemed I was guessing he was. Always tough losing the last game on your home floor.

I absolutely agree. Could have made it a lot bigger scoring margin. The Collins kid is long and athletic.

Collins had a guy 5’6 guarding him too,  at least most of the first half.  Agreed on the switching d.  With that length, they would be hard cats to clean after in a 2-3.  Switch it up with half court trap at times.  Boeheim does pretty good with the 2-3.

That was Elijah Tolson that threw his medal.

Breathitt loses when they win lol… Anytime you win at Wolfe it’s a great win. All though I will say I think Breathitt had a ton more fans at the game than Wolfe. This team has had great fan support all season long.

Wolfe had 200 fans locked out got there late I heard.
