Clay County vs South Laurel.

After seeing what South Laurel did last night. I would not be surprised if this one doesn't get out of hand quickly.
Hines has put his stamp on South Laurel...... Like the QB play....

SL
Tigers have been bitten by the injury bug again. Lost one of their best receivers last week before Harlan County with a torn ACL and now the starting quarterback, who is his brother, may have a serious knee injury as well. That would be 3 of their top 7-8 players with severe knee injuries and their starting running back transferred. Extremely unfortunate and unlucky. Just not the same team that entered spring ball.

I saw all the injury reports and transfers situations. I hate injuries with a passion. Wishing them nothing but a speedy recovery. Good athletes for sure!

It's horrible when injuries happen and impact the game like this. Seems like when one gets injured, it's not long til another gets injured.
Prayers for their speedy recovery.

Hines has turned south around quick. Old school coach and still has it. South should win this one too.

We appreciate that over here. Could be as many as 3 ACLs to 3 key players in a short amount of time.
It’s amazing what a good coach will do to your program. It’s why I just don’t understand the hiring some of these schools do.
South may put up a running clock for what is prolly the first time in years unless they’ve done it and I just don’t remember

I think this game could be closer than what some are predicting.nothing like a crosstown rival who haven't played in a while to get the tigers fired up.south is well coached and has a heck of a team.i look for clay to hang around and make this one interesting. best of luck to both teams.

Bad things happen when Clay doesn’t play a 1A non-district schedule. Hines is just what South needed. Running clock early.

This was a 3 TD win for SL before Clay’s injuries. Expect SL to drop 50 on the Tigers. Clay should have opened the checkbook for Hines when he became available.

South easily

That's a bold statement. Clay Co is coming off the best 6 year run that they have had in over 30 years, maybe longer. Coach Sizemore has done a great job with the program.

Was referring to the Hines comment.

People have went to jail for lesser beating than Clay took tonight. Probably more effort given by holler dancers in front of the main stage at the MMFer downtown tonight. Going to be a long season
SL had been an absolute dumpster fire the last several years before Hines got there and he will turn them into a winner in a hurry. Outside of Leslie Co, Pineville, Lynn Camp, McCreary Central, Pike Central and a win every 4 years against Knox Central who has Clay beaten the last 6 years? How many playoff wins do they have? What are their points for vs points given up in their playoff games the last 6 years. If mediocrity is your thing, you certainly have it. Without the four years with Rice at QB they would probably be under .500 against very weak opponents. Once again, tell me how good these last 6 years have been.
