"Dr. Death" Steve William's throat cancer has apparently returned. According to an email he sent, he's undergoing chemotherapy, taking new medication and he says he's confident he'll beat it. We're keeping Steve Williams in our thoughts

Captain Lou Albano is now is hospice care. There's no word on what's been going on with the 76-year-old's health. It is well known that Lou Albano suffered a heart attack in 2005 and also shed about 150 pounds over the past few years.
Captain Lou was a favorite of mine growing up, so my thoughts are with him and his family today as well.

If you're interested in starting the rumor mill, Jim Ross's WWE contract expires in November. He hasn't signed a new deal yet...

Ric Flair is apparently hard up for cash and auctioning off his old NWA Heavyweight Championship belt. The latest bid on High Spots was $75,000.

Is Umaga going back to WWE? He seems to think so. Eddie Fatu (Umaga) recently canceled a shoot interview citing that he might be going back to work up north. That would be awesome, considering Umaga is one of the most talented guys on the roster in years. He'll be going down under this fall to work with Hulk Hogan's "Let the Battle Begin" tour of Australia.

Raw's ratings have been down slightly since the NFL season began and it's up against Monday Night Football. Considering how volatile the ratings have been lately, it's probably pretty respectable that the show's only lost about 600,000 viewers or so and still managed to stay above the 3 mark. Last week's Raw with Ben Roethlisberger drew a 3.1.

Is Booker T coming back to WWE? That's what he's been saying. Booker apparently refused to job to Matt Morgan at a recent Impact! taping and has reportedly been a major pain in the *** backstage to everyone. He walked out of a TNA house show in Zurich, Switzerland. The word from TNA staffers is "good riddance." Do WWE fans have to endure yet another King Booker angle? Will he be R-Truth's mentor?

Paul London is back in the ring. He worked a Minnesota Independent Wrestling show Saturday in Long Beach.

Big Show is set to star in a movie titled Knucklehead. It started shooting this week in New Orleans. No word yet if it will get a theatrical release.

WWE plans to release one of those three-disc DVD sets on John Morrison. A little early IMO, but I won't complain too hard being a Morrison mark. Speaking of John, he and the Bella Twins were in Trenton, N.J. Tuesday the morning of a SmackDown/ECW taping to rename Hamilton Avenue 10-year Anniversary Avenue. It amrks the 10th anniversary of Sovereign Bank Arena. The arena is home to the ECHL's Trenton Devils hockey team and usually where WWE goes when it comes to town. The first ever WWE taping of ECW on SciFi was held at the arena.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin turned down an offer to guest host Raw. That's a surprise, since Steve Austin usually shows up when asked. He was in the United Kingdom recently at a West Ham United soccer match. He came onto the pitch and asked the fans, "If you want to see West Ham open up a can of whup *** on Fulham, give me a **** yeah." The fans apparently obliged.

Since Nick Bollea's racing career was a joke, he's decided to try something else stupid. Hulk Hogan's son is training to wrestle. We'll keep you informed of his next career switch.

Gail Kim burst one of her breast implants. Perhaps the Divas division on WWE has been so poor because the divas themselves are so fragile. You'll remember the same thing happened to Mickie James recently.

Why was CM Punk buried? Apparently he got on Undertaker's nerves for not dressing the part of a WWE world champion. When confronted about it, Punk said something to the effect of, "Well, what about John Cena?" When management heard about this, they took it as Punk thinking he's a bigger star than Cena and thus stripped him of the title by squashing him in the opening match for **** in a Cell.
That's the rumor anyway. If true, they've flushed one of their hottest rising stars down the toilet in favor of yet another borefest between Batista and Undertaker. This, along with Vicki Guerrero coming back, is a travesty for SmackDown. WWE wonders why ratings and attendance are down. And Vince McMahon himself yelled "Why can't we make new stars goddammit?" a WWE creative meeting recently.
The answer is right in front of you WWE, yet you refuse to see it.

According to The New York Times, Linda McMahon has already spent $1 million in her bid for the Republican nomination for Connecticut's junior senator seat. She has a reserve of $30 million to spend on her campaign. The Times asserts that Linda could win the nomination, but has little chance against incumbent Christopher Dodd.

The WWE is picking at straws right now just trying to find a new mainstream interest. They are trying to use Mainstream celebrity's to bring non-wrestling fans into the mix and IMO has been a monumental disaster. Instead of bringing in new fans, they are driving their loyal fans away.

I'd say Edge will be ready to come back by the time Royal Rumble rolls around in January...if not sooner.
From what I've heard he's no longer on crutches...and apparently he's lost a few pounds too.

I disagree with your Vickie Guerrero comment...
I know not many people like her...but hey she's doing her job.
She was/is one of the most hated heels in wrestling right now...and she does a great job in her role.

As far as the Guest Host thing...
I do think they going to keep it around for awhile...
I mean they already have hosts lined up all the way up to late November.
Personally I don't have a problem with the Guest Hosts...
Its kinda entertaining...

DDP is a Yoga Instructor now.
He has like a bunch of Yoga videos out.
Like "Yoga For A Man's Man" or something like that.

Yes, the intent to to have Edge ready for Wrestlemania, which will either put him in the Royal Rumble, or he will be involved with some angle at the Rumble
