Final from Patriot Field. It was ugly tonight folks. Brandon Boards was player of the game with 112 yards (unofficial stats) and a touchdown. Monroe County's defense was tough, very tough. I was shocked to find out how good Monroe really is. The field was very muddy and nasty. A win is a win, but I really didn't like the showing from the Patriots tonight. I understand this game didn't have much meaning going into the playoffs and all, but the heart definitely wasn't there tonight.

Anyhow, ACS now has their first ever undefeated regular season team as the Pats went to 10-0. Good job guys. The Pats have a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Logan County and Hopkins Central will square off next week to see who takes on the Patriots in the second week of the playoffs.

Telling from the score, it looks as if this where a dandy of a game. I'm rooting for ACS in the playoffs... best of luck!

If you like defense, this was a dandy of a game. Monroe had three or four players on defense I was extremely impressed with. I didn't get their names or numbers though. Monroe for the most part slowed down the ACS running game. Boards got his, but York and Cooper were limited.

Monroe County should make some noise in the playoffs this year, they are a very well coached and good team. I'm surprised Green County beat them.

Yes, Westguy is correct. This means if ACS went to the state championship game, they would only play 14 total games this year.
