Last April, I walked that 5k and I'm walking it again this year, but, this year, I'm doing more. As well as being on the planning committee- getting advertisements, schools involved, etc- I'm also finding sponsors to donate money. It is run by the RHC, which is a non-profit organization that helps people like me and families like mine with things like transportation, housing, employment, and much more. I don't see a dime of any money donated- it all goes to the RHC to help the people that I mentioned, so this is much bigger than me!
I also know that times are tough, but no donation- whether it be $10, $20, $50, or anything else- is too small and every dollar makes a difference.
Here is my team page for donations to the RHC, which is, of course, named the Chiefs- http://hpcincy.kintera.org/faf/search/se...am=4094486 and any money that you can spare goes a long way in making a difference. Even if a bunch of people only donate $10, it will add up and make a HUGE difference.
It's not a complicated process, it's very simple, so it won't take much time at all.
