Tea Partiers do not even represent a majority within the Republican Party. Liberals fear Tea Party candidates because they speak the truth and so far, most of them have stayed true to their principles after they were elected. That is such a radical departure from the behavior of RINOS and 'Rats that it threatens to topple the who rotten political hierarchy in Washington.

The only hope Obama has of winning a second term is to run a ruthless smear campaign against not only the Republican nominee but also against the Tea Party (actually Parties, because there is no national organization).

The Tea Party is represented by a fairly small minority in Congress but it has both Republican establishment types and Democrats shaking in their boots. As bad as the Obama economy is, I don't think attempts to discredit the Tea Party are going to work.

When is the finger pointing going to stop? The United States Blamers fits much better than congress. I guess they're following in the footsteps of their leader, the biggest Blamer of them all. Take some responsibility Barry! Leadership my big, fat hairy ass!

Don't forget Sen Kerry D- MA

Senator Kerry of Massachusetts also weighed in Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press. “I believe this is, without question, the ‘Tea Party downgrade,’” Kerry said. “This is the Tea Party downgrade because a minority of people in the House of Representatives countered even the will of many Republicans in the United States Senate who were prepared to do a bigger deal” of at least $4 trillion that included a mix of reductions, entitlement reforms and revenue enhancement.

The left is afraid of the Tea Party. This grassroots unorganized group of citizens have them terrified. Blaming them for the downgrade? Common! This group has been around for two years, how long has Congress been running up the debt?

Even the right is afraid of the Tea Party.

And that's what I love about the Tea Party. They are stirring up the establishment my friend. What has the establishment done for working folks lately?
Tea Party ideas are exactly what we need right now.

This is merely a transition by the supporters of the little fellow in the White House. It is becoming apparent even to them that they can't continue blaming Bush for everything. So, now all blame will be assigned to the Tea Party. And, of course, all media outlets except Fox will support the tactic.

Exactly Truth. Obama doesn't want to wear the downgrade during his watch. Even democrats are getting tired of the worst POTUS ever blaming Bush. The Tea Party is now the new throat to put a boot on. I'm willing to bet that a "blame the Tea Party" memo came out of the Whitehouse this weekend. Let's get rid of Boener, Pelosi, McConnel, Reid, Obama and the rest of the tax and spend, self serving thugs. I'm done with them! They make me sick! Our founding fathers would burn them at the stake.

Are any of our Obama supporters on here getting sick of this? Seriously, anyone?

 I agree with you on every point, SkinnyPig. The way that the debt ceiling was raised with the support of Boehner and the majority of Republicans proves what I have often said. The only true fiscal conservatives in Congress are in the Republican Party but they only constitute a minority in their own party. The rest are big spending Republicats.

Attempts to blame the Tea Party-supported members of Congress for the credit downgrade and stock market crash are beyond absurd. Debt and the ineffective way that Obama and most members of Congress are dealing with the problem caused the current situation. Big spending Republicans and Democrats never needed the few votes that the Tea Party Republicans withheld. They could have pushed through the plan that was eventually passed anytime that they wanted.

Obama takes responsibility for nothing. It would lead one to wonder if he is listed as the father on the birth certificates of the two daughters of Michele.

^ He's holding up on the birth certificate thing, one never knows what specific information may someday be required on them.

The sad part about blaming the Tea Party is, if they had been able to construct and pass a bill based on their fundamental values, there probably would not have been a downgrade in our rating and the markets would more than likely went upward.

The Tea Party supported House members did pass such a bill. Obama promised to veto it if it reached his desk and Harry Reid and the Democrats killed it in the Senate with no debate.

To me it's so easy to see the democratic machinery in motion, killing CUT, CAP and BALANCE. Then in spite of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary they issue a statement saying the tea partiers are terrorists holding America and the world hostage. And unbelievably, if one can believe the polls, people are buying the dems propaganda. I mean, it's like I could walk up and punch one of them in the nose and say (in my best Obama impersonation, pointing to some poor slob who is anywhere near enough to blame) HE DID IT! and reasonably expect him/them to believe it. According to the news I've heard most folks are, in fact blaming the republicans for the financial mess we are in. In their view it's the republicans fault for not giving in to the dems soon enough and thus are to blame. While all the while, the dems get a pass for insisting that we spend ourself into oblivion. It's absolutely incredible.

The only thing that explains what we're seeing is that the liberal adherents just want to be misled, preferring the lie rather than the truth. It's like a religion to them, as they accept by faith what they are told, even though they see the truth with their eyes and hear it with their own ears!

I am at this point convinced if Obama gets another term America is doomed. As I make this post the Dow is down 342 points again today. The looter mentality over in England has shown that people who insist on being cared for, themselves, don't care about anything, much less what ills tomorrow may bring. They want what they want, NOW, because their reality is living for today. That's their value system, they don't care about saving or giving or building anything. They just take. And, when the well goes dry, they riot, as they have done since the begining of time.

Meanwhile the irony of the falling Dow is this. Those falling numbers are the retirements and pensions of people who worked their whole lives so, if they are lucky and actually live long enough, they may be able to enjoy the fruits of their labors in their senior years. Now it seems they may have to watch it all go up in the smoke of a crashing stock market. Those retirement funds, having been played with fast and loose by the very arrogant and self absorbed politicians they wind up voting for and defend tooth and nail.

On a side note: Here is the reality of how much power the unions really have. Zero. We are a country of supply and demand. It really doesn't make any difference what kind of unioin contract one has when the money is drying up like a stream in the desert. What the market place is willing to buy is qualified and professional skilled labor. Enacting laws and making threats and waving contracts in support of union principles isn't going to intimidate the world economy, or turn back a crashing stock market. Free enterprise and an ample supply of money along with confidence in the American Dream is what we hang our hat on in this land. Union agreements are just that, an agreement between management and labor, unioinism isn't a civil right, it's collective barganing. Stifling regulations and a president determined to control every aspect of human existence isn't the American Dream I grew up with. And now, it looks as if everything that millions of retired folks have worked for may be in real jeopardy.
