This is Lone Oak's last year of existence and hopefully they can make a run to be 4A state champions... here are some preseason notes for the Purple Flash

*A Junior to be QB Cole Ousley will man the starting QB job for the 3rd season in a row and should come back even better and poised to win a state title
*A talented Freshman Class will be coming in featuring two of Kentucky's best players in the Class of 2016 QB/WR/S Zyaire Hughes and DT/DE/OT Wells Purdom and guys that also should have had more recognition from the state FB/ILB Johnny Hernandez and DE/OT Jack Moreland
*Solid O-Line will be back and four starters will be back including Zach Perry, Jason Smith, Steven Wooten, and Patrick Millett but then also competing for the fifth lineman spot would either be Nathan King or Zach Keiler who will be Juniors this fall
*To compete for a state title the Defense will have to step up or else... led by LB/DE Tanner Riley, NG Zach Keiler, and DE Zach Perry with other very talented contributors CB Rasheed Jones, LB Bryce Wright, S Cole Womack, and CB Derek Collier and a guy that will step up a lot will be DL Evan Sayner
*Also Sophmore to be RB D'juan Sherrill who is a freak in the weightroom will be paired with Bryce Wright as the two RBs competing for the starting job and a very talented WR corp includes Tyrae Caldwell, Derek Collier, Rasheed Jones, and Will Carr

There are reports Lone Oak has asked the KHSAA to block the transfers of some players who have asked to go to school elsewhere. If that's true - any thoughts of a state title are pretty wispy at this point.

How does he compare to the kid who was very good on the '09 team, Cameron Looper?

Looper was a bit bulkier than Ousley and Looper is probably the 2nd best QB of all time next to Corey Robinson (Troy QB Standout) at Lone Oak but both are very impressive and have good arms

I wouldn't take that into serious consideration but some may of, I have no clue but might as well weed them out if they dont want to wear the Lone Oak on their chests
