Federal Reserve: QE3
#1
The Federal Reserve is having a third round of buying US bonds.

http://money.cnn.com/2012/09/13/news/eco...index.html

I warned everyone a few months ago about inflation. This third round of quantitative easing will increase inflation problems for the future.

As fewer people buy our country's bonds and force the Federal Reserve to buy those bonds, it will cause inflation to become a bigger problem for our country.

Looks like Hoot is alive and well, liking posts. Lurking, if you will.

Personally, I'm glad Hoot Gibson is still liking posts. It gives me a few extra "liked posts". Big Grin

Looks like the Hoot has no willpower, so to speak. This makes twice he has "quit" the boards. "I will not post here again," but I will still lurk and play in the shadows, to where people can see that I am still here. :hilarious:

Yea, if you count lying stats, and conservative falsehoods. :thatsfunn It's fun to see you fellow far right wingers "slap each other on the ass". Maybe he will like your posts too, since he isn't really leaving BGR, just liking posts instead of posting.
#7
^ That's pretty bad then if he tore you up using lying stats. You should have easily been able to defend against those "lying stats." And "slapping each other on the ass?" we're not the ones running around with clone accounts "slapping each other in the ass." If "Slapping each other in the ass" were a crime, you, WideVector, and 4_Real wouldn't be brave enough to type a word on here.

Hoot was a good contributor to the site, and i believe TRV is to.
I dont care the opinions, both guys are pretty infromative and educated, something that is a rare commodity in todays world.
Makes for great debate. As long as we can keep the peace so to speak, well as much as you can, i'd love to see some more heated debates.

One thing i can promise you is the debates between hoot and TRV will be MUCH more entertaining then the Obama/Romney debates.

I enjoy reading Hoot's opinion. Where we part ways, is that he calls people morons, and uses the little smirkicons when their opinion doesn't match his. Hence my use of one above, because that's what he did when I came back from my 2nd "trying to leave BGR". The big difference in Hoot and me, is that, if you don't share my opinion, I'm cool with it. I don't try to "force" anybody to vote liberal, by calling them idiots and morons if they don't share my opinion. I vote for democrat candidates, and no amount of name calling, and heckling will change that.

I never post with a another account name. I use TRV, and that alone, and have never been shy about my identity. Go back and look, and tell me how many times I have "liked" a post that any other liberal has posted, except for Wildcat23. BTW, the childish change of the quote is noted.

I must have missed something in Hoot's posts. When did Hoot ever try to force somebody to vote conservative? BTW, how does one accomplish forcing the way folks vote? I'd like to see that one. LOL

As far as calling people idiots and the like, I'm as bad as the next guy when it comes to calling out la-la liberals. However, I have the benefit of the record to serve me as a basis of comparison in those cases. For instance, The US has never faced financial times like the present. For the purposes of comparison let's take the 7th year of W's presidency against the 3rd year of the Obama presidency. The much maligned George W's numbers first. On Sept 15, 2007; national debt-- 9 trillion vs a gnp of 14.4 trillion. In those days our economy was 5-1/2 tillion bigger than our debt. Obama's numbers on Sept 15, 2011; national debt--14.7 trillion vs a gnp of 15 trillion. Woops, what happened to the ratio between debt and economy?

Not only do we owe over 16 trillion right now, the 5.5 trillion dollar 'buffer' which existed under W is evaporated. Matter of fact we are facing a negative gap between our debt and the gnp in that the national debt is now greater than the total weath of our land (gnp). If one had 50 thousand dollars in savings and investments at some point, but had to withdraw those savings dollars and liquidate those investments to meet their daily bills, they'd be downsizing so fast it would make your head spin. Why? Because anybody with enough sense to blow his nose knows when the bank is downgrading one's credit rating (twice) and there isn't anywhere else to turn or anything else to liquidate, the wolf is at the door.

BUT NOT THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION. No, these guys say they've "turned things around and we're headed in the right direction" Now, only the sublimely ignorant, or the willfully ignorant, would swallow that line of rationale in light of reality. So, do I call the liberal drum majors up in front of the parade headed for the finacial cliff bozo's, zombies, morons, and liberal lemmings? You betcha!

We have our own record and recipie for success. It's a matter of just reading history, for crying out loud. How can reasonable men and women allow an obscure community organizer, of practically none experience in anything but revelries, (and that by his own admission via two conflicting autobiographies BTW) to redefine our entire civilization? It's past bizare, it's nightmarish.

America's blueprint for success lies on the road we have traversed in the past. Not the one our new 'bus driver' wants to take us on, regarless of his claims that W was an idiot and he knows where he's going. On the one hand we have a proven success story, on the other we have unfulfilled promises, a gridlocked congress, credit downgrades, our debt and gnp have flip-flopped, median income has dropped over 4 thousand dollars per household, health insurance premiums have risen $2,500 dollars a year, energy costs through the roof as promised,, and an abundance of advances for the social justice agenda. How is there any question? Obama doesn't deserve another term.

And I know I speak for Hoot and others on here when I say, our concern is for the well being of our country, nothing else. IMO, a microcosm of the politics of the left are on display for all to see in this thread. Liberals engage in personal attacks, question any website or source of information which does not bouy their point of view and accuse the republicans of obstruction of progress. It's not true. Americans at each other over this stuff is the work product of the politics of division's poster boy, BHO Even the arab world knows our system of values is in freefall. That is exactly what your seeing overseas. The first folks coming to the party in celebration of the downfall of the "Great Satan"

I don't ever call people idiots or morons for the way they believe. I have, on the other hand, called them idiots on some of their posts, if they are idiotic, but never for voting the way they want, and believing the way they believe. I could care less how people vote, that's their right. Hoot, and the rest of you right wingers, on the other hand, never fail to call liberals on this board idiots and morons for being liberal.

Quote:Rep. Ryan: New Fed policy a ‘bailout’ for Obama economy

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said the Federal Reserve's latest policy shift amounts to a "bailout" of the economy under President Obama.

Speaking at a campaign event in Oldsmar, Fla., Mitt Romney's vice presidential candidate lambasted the Fed's recent decision to try and do more to boost the economy as "sugar high economics."

"We don't need synthetic money creation. We need economic growth. We want wealth creation," he said. "We don't want to print money. We want opportunity and growth.”

On Thursday, the Fed announced it was embarking on a third round of "quantitative easing," in which it would buy up $40 billion of bonds every month. But in a new move, the Fed said this time it would be continuing the purchases until it was satisfied with the rate of growth in the labor market — the past two rounds of easing were set at a specific volume of purchases. The Fed also said it expected to keep interest rates near zero until mid-2015 (it had previously predicted rates would stay low until the end of 2014), and that it was willing to do more if it found it necessary.

The Romney-Ryan ticket, along with congressional Republicans, were fiercely critical of the move when it was announced, and used its existence as proof that the president's attempts to turn around the economy have failed.

"We heard that the Federal Reserve is coming with a new bailout," Ryan said Saturday, to grumbles from the crowd. "This matters. So the Federal Reserve is basically saying that we don't have a recovery. 'Obamanomics' didn't work."
