Lawrence Co @ East Carter 9/20

I don't know much about East this year, but I'm taking the Dawgs by 20+

East will come out strong defensively for a quarter/quarter and 1/2. Then Lawrence will wear them down. This is a decent East Carter defense. Their offense is just too far behind and they have to stay on the field for too long. Hope both squads remain healthy.

Lawrence 49
East Carter 12

Dawgs by 30.

Call me crazy, but this game scares me just a little. I've been hearing good things about this teams defense. I know you can't get a whole lot from common opponents and I know it was Fairviews 1st game, but they did hold Fairview to less points then we did. To hold Fairview to what they did then they must have a pretty good run defense, but we have something that Fairview don't and that is a pass game when we need it. I look for AJ and Dalton to light it up in this game............I hope.

It looks like East Carter is going in the right direction rebuilding and could make this game interesting. I'll take the Bulldogs 35-18.

East Carte coming off their first win of the season yesterday against Bath County. Lawrence County 3-1 after the win over Breathitt County. Bulldogs have a very good rushing offense, with AJ Cyrus leading the way. Sophomore Cole Mosley stepped in at fullback last week and went for 100 yards on 16 carries with 2 td's. The offensive line deserves a lot of credit, they are doing really good.

I remember coaching Cole Mosley in 4th & 5th grades, I knew then he was going to be running back to be reckoned with. He has to be the quickest when it comes to juking and changing his direction. I see big things for him if he keeps up with the weight lifting during the off season.
