Hazard Running Back Cory Smith tears ACL
#31
Prayers for the young man. He's an animal and I hope he gets back on the field sometime if that's what he wants to do.

So Sad to Hear Prayers from Log Mountain for a speedy and full Recovery!

Prayers from Briar Jumper Nation. The young man showed what kind of heart he has. When he tried to return to the game, after the Bulldogs got inside the 10 trying to score and was unable to continue after one play. He will be a huge loss for the dawgs, but they seemed to have a couple quality backs behind him. Maybe not the same caliber, 24 - 2500 yards rushing is hard to replace.

Hate this for the Smith family they are great people and Corey is a heck of a player and person who has represented mountain football well.

I am so sad to hear this. Corey was s favorite of mine and I'm heartbroken. I will answer your question in regards to Hazard's chances of competing for a state title without him. The answer is 0. He was a mr football candidate and the heart and soul of this team. They are done.

I hate this for any kid. Prayers for a speedy recovery for the young man. He's a gamer on the field. Anyone who doesn't recognize that is not a true football fan. Respect.

Many thanks to everyone for your prayers and thoughts. Corey and Austin will both have knee surgery next week and will miss the rest of the year.
Keep us all in your prayers and here's praying for no more injuries for all kids on all teams.

Paintsville's road to Kroger Field just got a lot easier.

Nice of you as a mod to throw in a backhanded shot at Paintsville at the expense of a kid with a ACL injury. Would expect nothing less from a pencil head like you. Whomever spotted you the mod job should seriously rethink that decision. Glad you guys miss the teams that moved up to 5 :lame:

Dang,I hate to hear this.Prayers sent out for a speedy recovery. The bulldogs and coach Dixon will pull together and still be one of the teams to beat in 1a.Losing one of the best players in the state definetly hurts any team, but when you are 1a I think it hurts even more.Good luck to the bulldogs the rest of the year.
