Heard some rumors can anyone confirm?

Why?!?! He's already getting offers.

Heard same a week ago but didn't want to be the first to post it. Heard there is tension on the farm, no proof just hearsay.

The source say heâs going/gone.

This is a tough decision for a parent to make so I won't pass judgment.
Most people go to IMG for one of two reasons:
1. To get offers or bigger offers
2. To hone their craft against better competition so they are better prepared when they get to college
With that said, that is a huge move and decision to send your kid 12+ hours away. Additionally, IMG doesn't automatically mean it is a better move. You are probably going to get less touches and if you get beat out by one of the plethora of other blue chip stars it may hurt your recruitment and value when you already have offers.
Do not envy whoever is having to make this call.

I can now confirm that he is leaving.

My question is will he even see the field there ? Unless Botch Jones is offering 20 kids at a time :eyeroll:

During 7v7 vs Boyle Co he was overheard saying he was transferring to play for the Rebels. I never once believed this to be true but it's proof he's been unhappy and wanting out for weeks.

I am curious if this will effect the recruiting "alliance" with Burton.

Nothing to do with the other there is only maybe 1 or 2 schools that are currently recruiting both players hard. They both are being recruited by big time schools but they are different big time schools for the most part.

I would have never guessed that you would turn this into something involving Boyle County. Good stuff.

Lightning quick WR from Frederick Douglass that has numerous D-1 offers including UK.
IMG is a private school in Florida that is basically a sports factory. It has built it's foundation on hiring elite coaches (most with professional backgrounds) and basically being a boarding school for boys and girls to focus on their sport of choice and to get more exposure/competition to best prepare them for college.

Ummmmmm I kinda did that to back up the story with some perspective, not to remind people how great we are.
....everybody already knows that.

I can only assume he or his parents think staying at FD will hurt his chances of landing one of the big offers. Or there is some serious dissatisfaction with the coaching staff, but this seems surprising to say the least. Would he be eligible immediately at IMG?

Correct me if i am wrong, IMG doesnât associate with Florida athletics or has any affiliation so he should be able to start right away. I am assuming he is offered some kind of scholarship.

IMG is right for some and not for others.

I find this hilarious.

Maybe they finally decided to do something about him not living in FD District.

I watched the 7-7 at Boyle also and other than him being really quick I would not even have paid any attention to the young man. With that being said FD’s QB is not very good and over threw him several times when he was wide open. I figured he was leaving cause the QB wasn’t going to be good as big Cam. Just my 2 cents.

You are correct about the qb situation. As far as not noticing him....he runs a legit high 4.3 to 4.4 flat 40. How can you not notice that? Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Florida State, etc., etc. noticed him. His numbers make him a world class athlete. Do you have any of those running around Boyle County?

If your THAT good, it should show and not matter WHAT team you play for. When Madison Southern was not that good, Damien Harris was the step that they needed to get them up to the next level. The kid went to Bama and then on to Bill Belichick's stable. I guess each case has to do what they view as best for them. Good luck to the boy no matter where he goes. Hate it for his former team and friends.
Thanks for the explanation of IMG, EKU05.

IMG is a national power. High school football is becoming much like basketball where better players are congregating at a few prep powerhouses

All I said was he didn’t stand out! Were you at the 7-7? I don’t get on here calling Boyle world beaters or anything so take a step back! He didn’t stand out and I did not know which one he was until somebody pointed him out! I thought the sophomore kid was him so what does that tell you? And as far as world class speed, go run track then because just being fast doesn’t make you a football player. Sorry you got butt hurt by an honest comment. And as far as 4.3 yeah I have seen that speed we have one on our team that ran that at an Ohio state camp. Doesn’t tell me anything other than he is fast.

He's not going to have to run track because he'll get to go wherever he wants for college because of football.

Easy, I meant no disrespect and did not intend to convey a tone as such. In all seriousness this young man is a stud athlete and an excellent football player. His stats and offers back that up. You said it yourself, he was wide open and the qb missed him. Also, I forgot about the young man on BC that has committed to Notre Dame and how fast he is. I assume that is who you are referring to. Good luck to BC and good luck to Mr. Crowdus .

Among others from what I'm hearing. Things are about to get very interesting.

FYI...Boyle Co has had an unbelievable run in AA Track the last two seasons and have pretty much swept the sprint events at state. Many of the kids that run those events are/were football players. One of our kids last season came in 5th in the nation in the 60 indoor championships recently. He's attending UK and running track. He was very fast and could have played football in college based upon speed but chose to concentrate on what he does best. I think the other BC poster was just suggesting the same for Crowdus.
And I agree...for whatever reason, I had no idea which FD player was Crowdus at the 7v7 either.
