Really nice! I wish the Raceland/Somerset series could have continued.

I understand your reasoning too.

To each his own.

The field is still cool.
I haven’t missed a PHS Football game since 2008 & I never remember actually sitting as a kid and watching any. And I went to one virtually every Friday. First game I remember watching watching was 2004 Regional Championship. Every game before that all I did was run around and play either behind the bleachers at Hambley, down the first base line, or by the locker room at Paintsville. I think kids go through a progression but I would encourage kids to be kids and have fun at the games. I want kids to leave the game saying “Can we go back to the next one?” Eventually they will want to watch vs. play. Just my thoughts.

Most home games, I would prop up my fold out chair in that end zone to watch, but I’ll happily move, just to give the kids a place to play. Good on the administration for making that happen.
That's awesome.

I think so too. All schools should have it.

I played football with neighborhood friends and cousins every single day from when I was a little boy up until high school. I don't remember sitting at a high school game. I always stand at end zones or sidelines and watch the little kids play. At Middlesboro I was so close to the little kids game that they hit me in back of the leg and almost knocked me down. lol. The kid came up and asked Sir, Are you okay? I said I'm Ok  . keep playing and always be a kid and have fun Confusedinglepar

I have a lot of family in Middlesboro. They need to come home to Whitley County if they go anywhere Smile
