Ashland 33 Russell 14
#1
Final.
#2
Congratulations to Ashland.

Congrats TCats. Congrats Russell on a great season. Next week should be a good one.

Ashland played great and got Pittman and Hester going. Hard to keep those 2 down a 2nd time. Russell played hard think Ashland’s schedule and talent won out

T-Cats, I am so sick to hear that Talent won out from you all season long. Russell was down 20-14 and recovered a onside kick and couldn't go down and take the lead and Pittman scored to make 26-14. Then Russell had it on Ashland's 5 yard line and couldn't get it in and then blocked Ashland punt and was in the red zone. Russell had 3 chances to score and Ashland held. It has nothing to do with Talent. Both of these teams are so even on both offense and defense.

I don't agree with this new Kentucky playing within there district in the first 2 rounds. I live in Columbus, Ohio and we have the same system and the better teams in the District get the 1st weekend at home. Then after the 1st weekend its all on NEUTRAL Fields. For example, there was two area teams that won there District in the regular season and beat the 2nd place team but didn't get another home game it was on a neutral field and they lost. I don't agree with this new system in Kentucky.

Congrats to Tomcats. Can't see any talent difference between the 2 at all. Devils didn't come out ready to play early on..it was surprising. Fought back..and once again playcalling can't find a way to score inside the 5 yrd line. Good season and hope the Biggs kid injury isn't too serious.

You are a pure moron.

The better team won, for the second time this year. 33-14 is an impressive win. And yes I believe Ashland’s schedule helped prepare them for these type of teams. Russell was like they always are. Played hard and physical but Ashland’s speed was the difference.

Ashland proved they were clearly the better team. Russell was a very good team this year, but you’ve got to hand it to Ashland’s coaches and players. Hitting them with the counter play on the first play of the game worked. Whatever the Tomcats did on defense worked. They shut down Conley and had 3 or 4 tacklers all over him before he could ever get going. The winner of this one has a very real chance to win 3A this year. Good luck to Ashland going forward. I hope they represent NEKY well.

Ashland much more physical then Russell and the speed difference isn't even close. Love said on post game interview that Ashland had a bad taste in their mouth after the Russell win because everyone was saying Russell was the more physical team.
Rushing Ashland 37 for 315 yards
Russell. 19 for 59
And my prediction of 35-14 was spot on.

Those stats tell the story. I questioned whether Ashland was mean enough because Russell was very physical and played with bad intentions. Ashland answered that question. They stood up to the physical play and even ended up turning the tables and physically dominating Russell. Impressive.

Finally, after great anticipation, we are getting the words of wisdom from the knower of all knowledge concerning all things..

323 yards of passing thru the first 3 quarters alone...Oh, but I forgot, this "team cant throw the ball"....Right ?

Cluck!! Cluck!! Cluck!! on that great schedule this year. Puff that chest out, O' Wise One.

Your brilliant insight on Ashland is amazing. Think someone wasn't held by their mommy enough so I will bring you an Ashland shirt Friday since you love dicussing us so much. You show everything on this forum what a moron truly is.

I’m more a fan of intelligence than I am a fan of any particular team. Seger was funny for a while on this board, but his incessant drivel about the same things has exposed the fact that he must be a child, either in actual age or just mentally. He must know the moderators or owners of this site for his continuous juvenile banter to even be allowed. Much to Seger’s pleasure, this is my final post on this site because this is truly becoming a site for mental midgets like Bob Seger just to spew their idiocy on. Good luck to the Tomcats in the playoffs!

Gosh Wally, even after your stated how much you anticipated and hoped for my joining the ASH-land/Belfry thread. You sure you don’t have hormonal issues?

Well well once again Maynard can’t get it done against a team of any count. The decision to fire Ivan for this schmuck looks better and better every year. The kids deserved better than what results he is giving them. We may never beat Ashland again regular season or playoffs. This team had talent but we decide to run a jet sweep on fourth n goal from the shotgun against Ironton? We all know how well that worked out for us or giving up a 14 point lead at home allowing the other team to score 21 unanswered points. The truth really suxs but this all points to coaching peroid. See y’all next year I’m sure it will be the exact same song and dance! What about the kids? The hard work they put in for him and he never delivers for them?

BTW good luck to the Tomcats give Belfry hell!!
