I don’t see any of them happening.

Heard Couch left Perry this past Friday. Not positive where she’s at. Will help Leslie a lot if she enrolls there.
Combs dad will be the Head Coach at Breathitt next year so doubt she will be leaving.
Portal is always open for Feltner. Take your pick at the schools.
Could see McAlarnis possibly at Hazard.
Have heard Amos is going back to North Laurel.
Have heard Reed from Lee could be at Breathitt.

I could see couch going to Leslie county. I don’t think combs will leave breathitt. Definitely don’t see McAlarnis going back to Perry after they let her mom go. Feltner has so much baggage with her parents being so crazy that I’d say no one would want her.

Combs isn’t leaving Breathitt County. I think her mom works in the Breathitt district, and most of all she and her parents are Breathitt blue through and through.

I would like to see sophomore-to-be Natalie Reed come back to her native Owsley County very much if that is ever a possibility. She was in the Owsley system all her life and had been in their basketball programs from 3rd or 4th grade until she moved to Lee in her 8th grade year. The teams she played on in her 5th through 7th grade years lost very few games. It was a good nucleus of players in those grades and was a big blow to Owsley when her family moved to Lee. But it is understandable since her mom is now a teacher in the Lee system and they live a short distance from Beattyville.

"Back" to NL? When was this player ever on NL's roster?

I don’t think anything mentioned in this thread will happen.

Looking that way Wild Country. With no shakeups, Hazard still is sitting in the drivers seat. Perry will be in close behind them. Have heard that the new Perry AD could have some kids possibly coming in. Owsley will be in the mix (if nobody transfers). Time will tell.

I agree that Hazard should be the top of the list of favorites going into the season. Heck, they came close to winning it last year with a very young team and have them all back for the next two years.
Owsley returns everyone but one, who transferred to Jackson County. But they have added a guard who transferred from Lee. And their roster size, although young, will be back to normal next season. They will dress out around 12 girls. Last year they had only 7.

Which player from Owsley transferred to Jackson Co?
Kamilla Marcum. She started every game last season. Averaged something like 8 and 8. She will be a junior for the Lady Generals.

Marcum? I was under the impression she had stepped away from the game based on what her father had posted sometime back on social media.

She had to have knee surgery not too long ago. She wasn’t able to play in this year’s district tournament. She actually played on a bad knee, I think a partial tear, about all of last season. To answer your question I’m not 100% sure she is playing this year but I had heard she was going to play for Jackson County. The family lives in that county and it will be more convenient for her. She had started out in the Laurel Co system. Her dad is from there and her mother worked in London. Then she transferred to Owsley for two years. Her mom is from Owsley. I’m not sure of the future plans but from what I’ve heard she will play her junior and senior year at Jackson County.
