Pikeville 36 Magoffin 16

19th win in a row for PJHS. This 8th grade class won the 6th grade state championship in '23, beating Mayfield 18-6 in the semifinals and Somerset 30-0 in the championship. Then last year was part of PJHS team that won the state championship beating CAL 38-6 in the semifinals and Owensboro Catholic 22-0 in the championship. Very bright future for PHS football and Pinson (8th) and Wright (freshman) in the same backfield will be scary good in a couple years.

Pikeville looked a lot better last night on both sides of the ball. Magoffin County had some really good looking players and their quarterback was really good at this stage of his career.I thought it was going to be a better game just watching them warm up.Seem like every thing that could go wrong for them did and their coach staff never used a time out to try to put them in a better position to actually do anything.

19th win in a roll is amazing for a JHS football team. Coupling Wright and Pinson in the backfield sounds scary good for the future at the varsity level. Looking forward to many Friday evenings of football at PHS. Going undefeated again and another championship doesn't sound too far-fetched this season.
