How are the 3A teams from dist. 3-5 looking for this upcoming year?
Casey, Garrard, Jackson, Somerset, Taylor, and Wayne Counties. Somerset (9-4) had a really good team last year, but with Cole gone, will they be as potent on offense? Wayne 7-4 came in 2nd, Garrard (5-7) came in 3rd, but got a playoff win against Wayne, and Taylor came in 4th at 5-6 but played Garrard and Wayne tough.
How many starters does each of these teams have coming back? Will it most likely be the same 4 in the postseason in the same order or will there be some movement by others?

The only one in our district who has to worry I feel is 4th place, they will have to play Somerset 1st round. Everybody else will be fine until the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Breathitt should make a great run and I look for Estill to make a good one also, both teams return about everyone from last year, Fleming too for that matter.

We have a lot of work ahead of us at Somerset. We lost a whole lot to graduation and I mean a whole lot. But we've had a very good off season and first part of summer.
Is Macon still transferred to Taylor County? If so, then they will be a strong contender in the district.
Garrad Co. has a new coaching staff IIRC but didn't lose much to graduation.
Thats about all I know about our district right now.

Is this the way the district pairings look this year for the playoffs? Breathitt's district vs. Somerset's district and Belfry's vs. Russell's?

That is what I am hearing from Estill's coaches.

KHSAA 2007-2008 district alignment

I could be wrong, but I believe that is the way these two documents reads.
Somerset dist. in 3-5 , paired with Breathitt dist. 3-6.
Russell dist in 3-7, paired with Belfry 3-8.
Is this correct?
