First PCC didnt file a restraining order. get it right. And yes there is rules against doing things like that. A little bird told me the phone calls more then one has been made.

"Why is everybody worried about Pike Central ? I was told they are no good. With all of this talk somebody sounds worried lol . But I guess I would be also, they do have last years state leading passer. They also have one big linemen from Ironton, OH, who squats almost 600. They did get 2 transfers from Shelby Valley, one has been approved, the other they are saying there is like a 90% chance he will be approved. One of those had 2500 rushing yards last year. So I dont see why everyone is so worried about Pike Central..lol"

I have a feeling that there's quite a few people that post on this venue that do not have all the facts, and that's alright. We are all welcome to our personal opinions.
It appears that Coach Norman coming to Sheldon Clark has given all of us something interesting to to discuss, especially the eligibility of Tim and Zack. I don't think there is a question about Zack, but Tim is a different story. But we will soon know.
I have to wonder why if both were going to be eligible at Pike Central just a few months past, what has changed since Coach Norman has moved to Sheldon Clark?
I wish Pike Central well for the 2011 season; I am sure you will have a good team. I always root for a team from the mountains unless they are playing SC.

Injunction first, then restraining order, check the court transcripts. The ruling of eligibility applies July 15,2011, as of that date Tim Smith is ineligible as is Zach Norman, neither will participate in practice until cleared by the Khsaa. So , have all those "little birds" keep chirpping. If they are ruled ineligible, maybe Hawkeye will give us the Pike Central attorneys' phone number, that got their boys eligible:lmao:

Teams lose players every year somebody will step up. We have good players wait and see. :thanks:

Do you know why they lost him? His dad took a position in another county. Yes, he was good, but no drama associated with this one, ok. And what are you considering lucky? Beating SC.
You post but you don't know the facts yet do you?

Pike County didnt retain his teaching position, or re-hire coach Norman. So he had to move to a school system that was willing to hire him. It was very simple.:eyeroll:

Well, based upon what you wrote, it appears that all should be happy. SC needed a defensive coach, and I understand, also, that Coach Hager and Coach Norman have been friends from way back, playing HS football together at Belfry.
Pike Central should be pleased that Coach Norman is gone, since they did not renew his contract. Thus all should be pleased!
Good luck to all involved!

Does Sheldon Clark have any scrimmages scheduled?
07-22-2011, 09:09 AM
I've heard that Sheldon Clark is working hard and looking pretty good in these early practices. But as we all know, time will tell.
Does anyone have any new information regarding the eligibility of Tim and Zack?
Good luck, Cards!

Yes, they scrimmage Nitro, WV @ Sheldon Clark. The scrimmage is August 13, and it starts @ 10:30 AM, I believe.

I believe that the hiring of Coach Norman is going to pay huge dividends in 2011. I've heard good comments on his behalf.

I have heard that sc is looking really good. And from what I have heard that coach hager has said this the fastest team he has ever coached. I personaly think that they will be as good as usual. I can't wait till the first game.

Let's see if Hager can utilize everyone's skills this year. Wish the Cards the best of luck. Hopefully they don't fold under the hype.

If I recall correctly, there was some hype last year and SC ended the season, including the play-offs, with a six W six L record.
Based upon what I'm hearing, this group really wants to play, and they know how things went last year, so I certainly look for a different team in the 2011 season.
And they definitely have speed, as was mentioned in a previous post. I also have heard that coach Norman is fitting into the system beautifully.
But we will know for a fact how things are when they take the field this coming season.
Good luck Coach Hager and his Cards!

So you're saying you consider 6-6 living up to the hype? I hope this year's team wants a little more than that.

TheDarkLord Wrote:So you're saying you consider 6-6 living up to the hype? I hope this year's team wants a little more than that.
No, quite the opposite! I'm saying that I certainly hope that hype is not the driving factor. My point, there was hype last year and it sure didn't bring a successful season, IMO. I wouldn't call 6-6 a successful season, by no means. Being well prepared, attitude, good fundamentals, and not paying any attention to the hype will result in a much better result, I would think.
I would agree with you, however, that I did not make myself completely clear.
07-26-2011, 11:35 PM
I thought that was what you meant.
Anyway, it never seems like the hype comes from the community, but the players. If the team can keep a level head and just focus on the task at hand, I think the team should do pretty well. Sheldon Clark football should be getting to a level where people aren't surprised when they get a big win, but expect it.

Let's certainly hope that the skills are fully utilized.
From my perspective I think that the speed that Sheldon Clark possesses this season must be fully exploited. SC definitely has some guys that can move. To name a few: KP Skyles, Todd Matthews, Tyler O'Connor, Chase Lafferty, and Austin Preece. I think there are also two or three others that have good speed.
So, if the line can materialize, I would think SC will do alright in the 2011 season.
And one more thing: " Hopefully they don't fold under the hype." [/QUOTE]
Hype doesn't win games, smart, hard nosed play will do the job.

If Tim Smith is eligible he is probably faster than any of these guys. At least as fast.

Tim would be a tremendous addition to the SC team. But the eligibility factor is still looming on the horizon. I don't think anything has been decided at this point, but the longer it hangs, the possibility of him being declared eligible diminishes, IMO.
As far as Tim's speed is concerned, I'm not sure whether he's as fast or faster than KP? Maybe someone on this board knows?
07-31-2011, 04:28 AM
tim is not as fast as kp is tim runs in the 4.5s
07-31-2011, 12:41 PM
Smith is fast and would be 3rd fastest on team if eligible. Skyles is the fastest then Mathews followed by 5 others that are close . This team is fast.
07-31-2011, 12:57 PM
If Smith isn't deemed elligible then where does he go from here? Is that just it for him until college? I wonder how many high school credits he has and just how close to graduating he is? If not elligible, could he take enough credits via E-school and graduate, then go on to college? Just wondering. I would hate to see this year just be a total loss for him.
07-31-2011, 06:18 PM
from wat i just found out there is a rlly good chance of tim getting to play
