Two words... Travis Elliott.. Watch this kid Ryle lost 22 seniors... 17 of which were starters. They will rely heavily in Elliott.. He could have Mr. Football all over him...that's even with Ryle's insane schedule this season.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Amoh Kumengisa from Lexington Catholic. I watched this kid against East Jessamin about a week ago on the tube. He was a sophomore and had blazing speed once he got passed the line of scrimmage. If you ask me,every bit as fast as Cameron Thomas. He only had 600+ yds on like 118 carries on the season, but LC had like 3 or 4 backs that had that many last season. The duties were split up pretty good. I think he could have a break out junior season. I know I'll be watchin for him.

Kumengisa is a very good back who i think will have a breakout season as well. He will probably still split carries with soph Marcelis Logan

SK will have a really good running back Junior Nate Powell he didn't play last year because of an injury he is 5'6 180 pounds and nothing but muscle he should have a big year.

Romondo Tatum of west jessamine averaged 7.7 yards a game last season. good year last year with first year in spread surprised everyone with takeing the starting spot from duke brown look for Tatum to have a big season this year since he will be carrying most of the load this year.

In AA - Collin Spink of Reidland High School. Doesn't get a lot of press. He was hurt some last year and missed a few games. Will be a senior this fall.
In 2010 - nine games - 166 carries for 1125 yards and 12 RTD's.

Powell's Taulbee and Jones should put up some good #'s. Jones has great sprinter speed and had 555 yds 6.6 avg. on 84 att. with 6 TD's as a Soph.. Taulbee is a punishing runner who ran for 1157 yds 6.5 avg. on 179 att. with 11 TD's as a Jr. Both have tones of potential. If our line is in tact, these 2 will both run for over 1,000 yds. Plus, we don't know who else will step up.

Wells is the only D1 prospect
07-04-2011, 03:04 AM
Anyone who has a 3500 yard season should be a D1 prospect regardless the teams they play against. I know for a fact JC played some very good teams. Jude also broke the state record for single game rushing yards with 584 of them. Along with 6 touchdowns against wooferd county. Those numbers havent been put up since 1969 by frank jones of bath county. The kid is also a very talented wrestler he's being recruited by WV for it. By the end of this years football season he'll be a D1 prospect for football. He's in a senerio like allen iverson or randy moss. Both of these athletes could've went pro in football or basketball. Jude just has wrestling as his other option. I wish the best of luck to this young man.

I have just read the Cory Davenport interview with Derek Forrest, and have watched Cory's highlight video. What a player!
Something stood out, I thought, in addition to Cory's outstanding talent, and that was smart coaching; from watching the video, one must notice that Cory is the deep back, which provides him additional time to find the hole, and also gives him more options.
To sum it up, he is a fantastic running back!

I watched Cameron Vocke highlight video on you tube and i am very impressed and with him. He has a quick first team and doesnt go down on first impact. He will be a nightmare for teams come playoff time if healthy.

Wales is the best in the state. Josh harris a UK commit from Mason County is very good as well

Again, I will throw the name out and see what happens:
Clark Rowe-Rockcastle County
I am not saying he is the best, but he is probably at least Top 5-8 AND he has gotten stronger in the off-season.
