And that's actually one of our strengths this year is our line, both on offense & defense.
If Sheldon Clark is going to try and just run it between the tackles on Prestonsburg, then this could be another long game for Sheldon Clark, especially if Prestonsburg can jump out to a hot start on offense.

We are gonna have to see some major improvements this week as Rockcastle was in the backfield what seemed like every play Saturday

From what i've seen and read Prestonsburg has a very strong line on the both sides. If SC line is as bad as they sound it could be a rough game for them.
Pburg-31
SC-12
Pburg-31
SC-12

With Joseph going out for Pburg I think it opened their eyes to just how talented and deep their team is. They recognized they have alot of weapons on offense and that makes them dangerous. I just wonder about Pburgs defense. It didn't seem to be clicking against PCC. However against SC's simple offense Pburg may have a feild day. They tend to stunt alot anyways that can be a huge problem for SC's young line and non reading offense. If the line can pick up the stunts for SC then this could be a close ball game. They have to keep the defense out of the backfeild. I don't think Hager has ever beat Pburg though.

Good post and I agree.
All the injury to Jamerson did was give guys like Anderson & Jarrell a chance to show that they can make some plays. Now Crisp doesn't always have to look at Jamerson & Williams first, he has confidence others now.
As for the defense, Pburg always struggles against the teams that have good quarterbacks who can find the open receiver when the play breaks down. Huff was no Jordan Amis, but he was still elusive and had a pretty good arm. I still thought Prestonsburg did a pretty good job on defense in that game, despite giving up 4 touchdowns.

That week one egg laid by Sheldon Clark has really influenced this thread. Fair enough, but I have a hard time believing S.C. is THAT bad.
Look for a good ballgame.

Does anyone know if jamerson will be back this week. Im not so sure i would even risk playing him if he is not 100%. This game is just for bragging rights and i dont see the blackcats having any problem scoring or stopping sc offense without him.
Ill take the blackcats by 2 tds

There is no doubt that the lopsided loss to Rockcastle has influenced the predictions on this thread, and I don't think we can fault the posters for their thinking in that regard.
However, this is high school football, and remember anything can happen on a given Friday night. Last season SC got a disastrous start and later beat a very good Lawrence County, outplayed Johnson Central but lost by 2 points, and beat the 3A state title runner-up, Belfry. So, I wouldn't count them out.
Obviously they have a lot of work to do this week in preparation for the Black Cats, and I expect to see a much improved SC team to take the field this Friday night. Thus let us not be too quick to give up on the Cards.
