congrads to hchs.good looking team.i thought we could play with yall but you guys were the better team. im beginning to question our coaching.when kids are coached up[fundamentals]you field balls on kickoffs and tackle solid at the point of contact.btw the mcmillian kid#24 is as good a rb as ive seen this year.he made us look silly.

Does this mean we're a good team now?

Knox Co. has a fine ball club. Good looking skill kids and hard nosed linemen!
Having said that the score could of ( should of been) around 35 to zip. Knox scored on two fluke plays and basically that was their offense for the night. Knox played until the 9 minute mark of the 4th period without a penalty. I say all of that to let everyone know that Mo-town tenn. and gate city doesn't look like such a weak schedule of teams. Never question coach Larkey, I think he has proven he might know a little about football and quit all this non-sense about our schedule! We still have a lot of improving to do, but we will be back at it next week getting better. Thanks and good night!

Great job HC Bears!!
McMillion, #24 got the MVP for the game with 209 yards. I've never seen him run any better than he did tonight. He couldn't have gotten that many yards without his brother leading the charge; great job Caldwell #43.
I could go on and one about each one of the Bears; but the most important fact is that all of them gave 100% and played as a team should play.
Last thought; I hope Hammond is okay. He took a hard lick, and was shook up for a while. He's a tough kid. Barger to Barger is going to be a great combination for KC, as it was tonight and Canady is an awesome back!!
Great, great game!!!

The Bears played solid tonight and the Panthers didnt roll over and play dead. Give KC some credit here, they were outplayed in a lot of ways, but they never gave in, hats off to them for that!! After falling down 21-0 KC scored on somewhat of a hail Mary pass on 4th and 16 in the 3rd quarter, then late in the 3rd their QB was almost thrown for a big loss, but escaped and threw a 65 yd TD pass to cut it to 27-14. Harlan had another solid scoring drive early in the 4th that made the final 34-14. A good win over a solid KC team

This is who the other 5 teams ranked higher in the 5A AP poll played.
1....Bowling Green WON against (2-4) Barren County
2....John Hardin WON against (0-5) Iroquois
3....Christian Co. WON against (0-6) Hopkinsville
4....Warren Central WON against (2-4) Greenwood
6....Franklin County WON against (0-6) West Jessamine
Those 5 teams they played had a total of 4 WINS and 25 LOSS.
The Black Bears will probally drop 2 more places in the AP poll to whoever they want to jump them DON'T believe in these stupid polls those sources are bias to there local teams.
GREAT GAME TONIGHT BLACK BEARS and McMillian in a AWESOME running back.
See you Dec. 3 against one of these GrEaT western KY teams that dont play cupcakes. LOL

The Bears got a great win tonight vs. a good team but do you really want to bring up the records of opponents in the other games?

Everybody bi$&he's about strength of schedule. You've got to play some cakes! Nobody can play those hard physical games every night. Too many injuries! Must have a good mix. Start with some cake, then go stronger, then stronger to prepare for the playoffs. HC has lost 2 kids for the yr because of inj.

Big ups to the Black Bears from a former Redskin of the '80-'83 era. Due time for a Harlan County squad to make that trip to the 'Ville.
09-24-2011, 10:19 AM
Harlan is a very good team and if you want to talk about weak scheduling, you need to wait til end of season and then you can determine if it is weak or not. Knox schedule looks to be pretty soft after Rock beats Perry 22-0. I will predict that Knox will finish 3rd in there district.

Every team on that list played a team in their district. Not as if they had a choice in the matter.
