#3
I think there is already a thread on this game
#4
Laf by 14..
I hear that the Cambell field is a mud pit.
Should they be allowed to play on such a surface?
There are too many schools in N. Ky that are not hosting games this week. why not move it?

So where did you hear it was a mudpit?

Heres the pics of the Tates Creek game after three days of rain: http://public.fotki.com/2008Camels/2012-...age18.html

Was told by a Tates Creek coaching staff member along with a couple Tates Creek parents that:
There was standing water all over the field,
There were 2 huge pond like areas in the endzones,
Players were slipping and falling all throughout the game,
Campbell Co had to lay plywood down from the sideline to midfield for pregame festivities. That way people going out to midfield wouldnt have to walk through the muddy, sloppy conditions.

If this is the case then should they really play at Campbell Co? Why not have the game at Dixie, Simon Kenton or Boone Co? There arent going to be anymore games played at those fields for the rest of the season.

LOL, I just provided you a link to the pictures! That is too funny, sounds to me like they were making excuses. Campbell County has always had plywood or carpet down on the sidelines, not just when it rains:Thumbs:

Go look at the pictures and make an opinion for yourself. Afterwards, call that coach up from Tates Creek and tell him he is a LIAR!

It's amazing at how people will make any level excuse that they can!

Lafayette 28-14.

The website with the pics is blocked at my work.
Post them as pictures on the blog?

Looks pretty bad to me.

Endzones are under water :thatsfunn

Standing water ALL OVER:

[Image: http://images56.fotki.com/v1298/photos/1...797-vi.jpg]

Really looked like the sidelines were so "underwather" that it was necessary to have the carpet....
[Image: http://images58.fotki.com/v132/photos/1/...809-vi.jpg]

Thankfully the fifty yardline and the middle of the field dried out in time for the postgame handshake - notice how saturated the starting offensive linemen 59 & 53 pants are. And Tyler Durham #18, the QB who ran the ball over 30 times looks like he just got out of a Mudbath, he is completely covered from head to toe in MUD!

WOW REALLY!

Let me clarify a couple of your LIES!

There was standing water all over the field: No, there was no standing water anywhere on the field. It was SOFT in some places but no standing water. The softest side of the field was on the south side of the field along the sidelines.
There were 2 huge pond like areas in the endzones No, there was no huge ponds in the endzones. There was a LITTLE water on the corners but no where else.
Players were slipping and falling all throughout the game HUM, this is interesting, Campbell Co.'s QB was sure moving well and so did the Tates Creek offense in the 2nd half.
Campbell Co had to lay plywood down from the sideline to midfield for pregame festivities. That way people going out to midfield wouldnt have to walk through the muddy, sloppy conditions. Let me clarify for you why there was PLYWOOD on the field. There is a little boy by the name of Casen Shrock (http://www.wlwt.com/r/28676400/detail.html) who was in a WHEELCHAIR and the reason why the plywood was on the field was so they could wheel Casen out onto the field as he was the honorary captain for the game.

So please BEFORE you state lies get your facts straight. Oh and before you start questioning me on how the field was, this is from a person (me) who walked the whole field before the game! The field was in great shape for the amount of rain we had the day before.

As was I on the field all night long, for I am the one who took the pictures. It's amazing how others want to make up excuses for their own shortfallings! For a field that was in such terrible condition, it was Tates Creek who moved the ball.

Really? A couple of "my" lies? Did you not read "my" whole post? Get your FACTS straight before you decide to get pissed off and reply!!!

1. Did I ever state that "I" saw these conditions?
2. Did I ever state that this is what "I" said about your field?
3. Did I state that these were comments told to me by Tates Creek?
4. Did I not ask a question at the end of my post asking "if the field was in this kind of shape?"
5. By asking "if the field was in this kind of shape", I am saying that I dont know and am looking for someone to answer that does know.

Sloppy field, dry field, turf field, dirt field, Lafayette will be too much for the Camels Friday night!!! Lafayette 34 Campbell Co 14

Sorry, I said you but they are all lies. I find it interesting that Tates Creek would say the things they did. It would be interesting if they would say the same thing if they had WON!

Regarding the field condition, have people ever heard of home field advantage? GEEZ LOUISE! It is football, lets play it!

GO CAMELS!

Finally we get to a prediction:closed:

Don't forget, YOU were the one posting these rumors, then arbitrarily assuming they were true and pushing for the game to be moved, without knowing any of the facts!!!

I see you doing an awful lot of posting without making a prediction? How about it?:please:

Posting these rumors- GUILTY, I did post these rumors but also stated that this is what I was told, not what I knew or thought.

Assuming these rumors were true- NOT GUILTY, Never did I say that anything was true. When a person "asks if the conditions are like that" then that means they dont know. Thats why I asked.

Pushing for the game to be moved- NOT GUILTY, Go back and read and you will see that I said the game should be played somewhere else if the conditions were in fact that bad. Once again, I asked the question because I did not know.

Some of you guys are sounding like highland fans..
bubba will have to wear extra cleats this week. Awww, Doesn't matter..
300+ all purpose yards..
#20
I'm predicting lots of extra water on the field - Firetrucks will be stopping down after the rain moves out....

Like I said earlier...No excuses, just win. William Johnson will get his carries and yard. The question is if the Fighting Camels stop Lafayette's running game, do they have enough in their passing game???

Looks like this will come down to which teams stops the run as much as anything else. With Johnson and his 1045 yards against Durham and his 1471 yards, it will be who stops the others ground attack and forces the other team into a passing game.
#23
Can you guys borrow some dryer trucks from the Speedway to work on the field tomo and Friday please?

Does that 1471 yds include last weeks game?
That 1045 for Bubba does not. He had 218 yds last week.

I'm pretty sure both of those stats were at the end of the regular season

We(Highlands) lost a game to an inferior team one time on a muddy Highlands field, so we went out and bought us some turf. Problem solved.

what's wrong with that surface? that actually sounds like an awesome football surface. would've been fun playing on that
#28
In viewing the Dixie Lafayette tape, I have serious doubts that Lafayette's offense can score many pts against Campbell. If Campbell is able to run the football with any sucess, they will win the game. Dixie hasn't stopped anyone all season, yet Lafayette struggled. Campbell Co wins the game 27-7.
#29
Like I have said all week (probably since CCHS played Dixie) CC has to play 4 quarters to win. If they don't then it will be a long game for them.

GO CAMELS!

Well looks like Lafayette is back to their original QB who started the season. The back-up, who is doing VERY well is injured and out for Friday night. They have to revered back to the starter at the beginning of the season, who is ( immobile, holds the ball for 10 seconds and sacked prone )
