#1
So....we meet again.

revived and back alive, the classic clash in the 3rd round.
is this the real state championship?
I believe this game could be a triple overtime thriller.
watch out, this is a cant miss.
#2
hope this one is a game like regular season one..
#3
round two is always more entertaining. Gabe Grey and that OLine vs the PT show.

Got to go with the "Bluebirds".

What is the over/under on sand bagging posts in this thread?

Looked to me like Highlands had a few that didn't play tonight and a few more got hurt. Hopefully they're all back next week. Any news on OZ? Too cold for me to stick around long tonight.

FieldTurf has become Highlands new best friend

Dislocated elbow on a horsecollar tackle. Same thing that happened to Bardo against St. X. Out for the season.

If so, that's a huge loss of a weapon. Bardo was a QB. He came back and played RB/WR. Seems like OZ should be able to play WR with a padded up elbow? Maybe by the time it's stable enough, the season will be over?

Highlands wins this thing.

IMHO, this IS the state championship game. It will be all downhill for the winner. Cov Cath. is very tough, but I give the edge to Highlands in a barnburning nail biter. I'll need to ask my doc for some kind of nerve medicine before the game. This one has me worried.:yikes:

Will played again, but after a long recuperation. Oz doesn't have that much time. It was immediately apparent that it was serious. Hope I'm wrong, but my source is pretty well plugged in.
And am I right in thinking that they never followed through on the flag on that penalty? I could swear they started the next play from the spot that the tackle happened.

I thought the same thing but figured I was wrong...Cuz lord knows the ref ain't never!

^ Thats a shame if Oz is not able to come back. He's a great kid!
#20
^and a great wide receiver as well.
hope he has a speedy recovery

If my Black Bears weren't playing, this is the game I would definately attend!! Should be a great match up!

Good luck to both teams....NO more injuries please!!

I gotta say highlands has taken it to the next level and it was a level I didnt see from cov cath on friday. I mean c'Mon they scored 42 in a quarter against boyd. That is just rediculous I say highlands will win a game that probably isn't gonna live up to the hype. Highlands 35-21

I hope you are right, but you need to understand that Highlands/Cov. Cath. isn't your average HS game. They know way to much about each other and are just a few miles apart on the map. If Cov. Cath is having a good year they are very dangerous to deal with. When I was at HHS they were the only team that worried me. If the Birds kicker is still out, this could be trouble in a close game. The loss of their best WR and DB will also make a win more difficult.

So is Carter New out for the season, or the Cov Cath game, or what?
great player but it seems like every once and while he just sits out of a game?
what is his injury?

I have to agree. I think HHS is playing very good ball right now. In the first match up, I felt they came out at half thinking they were going to win and played flat. I also think CCH played better on O in the game against HHS, than they did in any game before or since. Can CCH duplicate their offensive performance? IF New is still out, I think it could be a big blow to kicking game and on D. Shehan is very good, but they are ridiculously deep at WR, if he can't go. I really think HHS comes out with more intensity, and better game plan on D. They do not shut down CCH, but I do not think they give up 35 points again. And I do not see CCH, holding HHS to under 35 (I was going to say 42, but then I am called one of those evil, arrogant HHS fans). CCH has a good D, but Towles is just playing great now, with a good cast of WR's and RB's.

Me, I was very suprised they palyed you that closely, and they
were at home. Coming from a Highlands man, I'm suprised
you think they can play you so closely the 2nd time around.

Highlands makes more (and better) adjustments than CCH in the rematch. Going to have to go with Highlands 42 CovCath 20.

I am one HHS fan that does not think it is going to be as close. I do not think HHS will win in a blowout either. Turn overs and penalties will be big for both teams.
