This game makes me real nervous. Pikeville is really on a roll right now, but you have to respect a team that is still undefeated at this time of season - AND the game is on THEIR field. I just can't go against my Panthers, I'll take Pikeville in a CLOSE game.

I do realize Fairview is a good team, a very good team. But this undefeated thing is blown up.

If Pikeville doesn't man up and get better by playing Belfry and Swain County, then the Panthers are undefeated! It's not a case of ifs and buts because I am glad we played those games. They have prepared us for what we are doing now. Fairview may have a great rushing attack, but it is in no way better than what the Panthers saw at Pond Creek or in North Carolina.

Each game was close the first half 14-7 at Belfry played well, 14-0 at Swain played horribly. This week Pikeville has to put together 4 quarters against a good team. I believe their schedule has prepared them for it and this staff has done a brilliant job and the leaders on this team will ensure this team goes hard all night. If they can eliminate turnovers and force some punts/turnovers, the Panthers could be hoisting the Region IV trophy for the first time in 7 years (longest drought since the regional format).

I would love to see Fairview win its first district championship this friday, but if Pikeville keeps playing how they are playing then it's going to be a long game in westwood friday. It is sad to see an undefeated fairview team in the second round of playoffs at HOME have less fans than what nicholas county had last week... I mean it is a two hour trip to play a team that spanked you earlier in the season, yet they had more fans and were way louder than fairview fans!!!! Fairview just about got beat because of this, would have been a huge upset!!! wheres the fans at Fairview? wheres that Eagle pride? Undefeated season, district championship, New Bleachers, new locker room, new everything... and no support? whats going on in westwood? In '03 and '04 it was so packed that you had to be at the game an hour early to get a seat, heck ive seen people put chairs up two three days before the game, even last year we had a packed house......

I'll be there for sure! I really think pike wins but hope the eagle fly high! Any time a local team gets a win, it's a win for our area. the raceland / fairview game was a great battle this year until the last couple of minutes. i could bring the Ram! That would be sweet to see all the raceland and Eagle fans come together for a game like this! But, niether side would ever do this, it's a shame.

Yeah sure Fairview has a weaker schedule than raceland.. But if Fairview had racelands schedule then im sure they would have been better than 6-6... You know, I said NOTHING disrespectful about Fairview in any way, just said I hoped that Pikeville brought a great crowd and their "A" game. I said NOTHING out of the way at all. But you come on here, don't know me from Adam, and talk like a jack ass. If I get off work in time I will be there, supporting Pikeville all that I can. What is the crowd remark? Calling me fat? I didn't say ANYTHING about Fairview in my post, I simply said that I hoped that Pikeville brought their "A" game and a great crowd, not a single word about the eagles. So you and whoever else needs to not think everytime I make a post it is about westwood, I was just supporting Pikeville, nothing wrong with that.
