Field should be in good shape.

Has it rained much in the past 2 or 3 days there?

Rained most all day yesterday. Pretty clear so far today.

Should be clear and cold tomorrow night. Great football conditions. I can't wait for this game to go down.

Just watched Fairview/Raceland on iHigh and I am convinced that Pikeville wins by a couple scores, maybe more. IF they avoid turnovers and penalties. Don't see how people are saying Fairview will put a bunch of points on the board against Pikeville when their offense didn't really do a whole lot vs. Raceland. Also noticed from KHSAA stats that Reed only carried the ball 3 times in that game for Raceland. Did he get hurt?
Regardless, watching this game I'm not convinced Fairview is a better team than Raceland, even though they won that night.

I'm going with the same score as I picked last week. Pikeville wins 38-20.

Best of luck to Pikeville from this Belfry fan!!

Hope the Panthers and their fans have a safe trip here and are loud and proud of their team! Pikeville, play to your potential and get a big win!!!
#97
I'm pulling for the Panthers in a close one.
Panthers 38-30

Good luck to both on an injury free game. Bring that Regional Trophy home Panthers.

The Fairview/Raceland game may be a little misleading. I'm convinced that the only offense that TJ Maynard can prep his defense for is the Wing T. That's just my opinion though. I watched both of the Pikeville/Raceland games and the Raceland/Fairview game and I believe Pikeville has the advantage. I'm not sure Fairview has faced an opponent like Pikeville all season, again, that's my opinion.

Why did Reed only carry the ball 3 times against Fairview? Hurt?
24 hours till game time! Lets go Fairview!

Yes, he was hurt. I believe he took a pretty nasty block to the back.
I'll have to go with Pikeville. (ohhhh that hurts)
Can't compare games as a fan it's all about matchups

Exactly what I meant, looking at that game makes me think Pikeville causes Fairview a ton of matchup problems.
russellpride Wrote:Can't compare games as a fan it's all about matchups

Whatever!! I have watched both teams play a common opponent and based on those games I believe that Fairview doesn't MATCH UP well with Pikeville. Is that better?
Prayers a safe trip tomorrow to Fairview for our players, parents and fans. Hoping for an injury free game for both teams. With that said.... HAIL PIKEVILLE!!!
While i am A tomcat fan sittin at home this friday i will still root for the Eagles. Dont ever think u can come into Westwood without gettin smacked in the mouth. They are always a tough bunch of kids that have never been taught anything but tough is the way to win football games. Same goes for Raceland. I will be at the game watching not only the only game in the area but what looks to be like a good one scheduled for the playoff pride that will haunt these kids the rest of their lives. Good Luck to both teams and stay healthy
Weather report: Gametime 41 degrees, clear.
0% chance of rain, 41% humidity
winds SSE 6mph

GAME DAY BABY!!

To say that a fan is incapable of projecting an out come of the game, based on viewing both team, and a common opponent, is kinda a stretch. I mean even if your a coach, RP.... how do you base your judgement on the outcome of the game? Do you set at home, with your eyes closed, and wait to see what happens Friday Night? More than likely, you watch film, if you were willing to trade, and you scout... It not always about matchups, some games might be that predictable. If I watched the Green Bay Packers play the Miami Dolphins, and I watched the Vikings play the dolphins, than I would say it would be a safe bet that the Packers would beat the Vikings.... same thing the fan is doing... He saw that Fairview put 20+ points on Raceland, and Pikeville put up 50+ points on Raceland... I would make the same educated prediction. Not saying that Fairview can't beat Pikeville, but my prediciton is Pikeville 24- Fairview 14
Saw where Caleb Pope of Nicholas Co. ran for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 carries last week for Nicholas Co. vs. Fairview. The Pikeville coaches had to get a warm fuzzy feeling all over watching that tape.

I have stated I know him but I guess I will just keep my opinions to myself from now on. Good luck to the Panthers and the Eagles tonight hopefully Fairview can keep it within 28 points Pikeville is too good I believe.

You sir, are a loon. And I mean that in the most respectful way possible. No one is buying into this Lou Holtz BS you continue to spew. This is going to be a battle. Either One team may win big, it may be close. But please cut out this oh woe is Fairview garbage. If Fairview is in fact on the rise, and I believe that program is, then learn how to act once you get to this level. Not with these jedi mind tricks at which you want to dabble.

Good Luck to both teams, hope for a good clean game without injury. HAIL PIKEVILLE!

#19 will hopefully be place in the trophy case Monday at PHS!
I have an uneasy feeling that Pikeville will be the last team from Pike County remaining after this weekend. I don't like it one bit for the record.

Keep the faith EKU! While I am far from a Belfry supporter, I respect them a great deal and they will be fine tonight! Hopefully the Panthers can pull it out for the first time since 2004!

Belfry will handle Breathitt. Nice to know that Belfry fans are still thinking about Pikeville this late in the season though.

Of course I am...I am pulling for them. Aside from the yearly bloodbath I am definitely a Panther fan.
