Could Highlands break the scoring record? Someone check my math but I think that it currently has 765 points and the 1998 team scored 801. It has quietly sneaked up if this is true since it has been pulling the starters in the first half of most games and with a running clock. Did they have a running clock back in 1998? Just seemed like it was topic worthy.
But it shouldn't look past LexCath, whom I consider very dangerous. Play the games and the records take care of themselves.

i think they will, but their definetly not worried about breaking it. If they was, they would have played their starters the entire game and not worry about running up the score.

I say score a 100 if you get the chance every game.
Its the other teams fault for not stopping you.

Is the 801 a HHS team record or a State record. You were not very clear in your post by saying "the 1998 team..."

Birds may score 100 or more with two games left. They break it easily against Lex. Cath. That is my arrogant opinion.

I think the Bluebirds can - and will - do it.

The record will be well in hand before halftime this week.

I know i said it in a thread over in college football a couple of weeks talking about the Union/Faulkner game. I found a pretty cool scoreboard pick.
Check it out...

i don't think they care about the scoring record. i think they would either have a state title over the scoring record.

They get both. The record is just icing.

I agree, and if I were to lay money down, I'd say they probably will. There is no reason to let LC breath, thus I see the pressure being put on heavy in the first half of this game. The first half, if LC can hang, could be a shoot-out!

In 1930, the Ashland Tomcats scored 591 points in 10 games. An average of 59.1 points pergame. This year's Highlands Bluebirds can break that record by scoring 122 points in the next two games. I don't think that is in their minds, but it is possible.
