Any recommendations on an Amusement Park within 4 hours or so from Eastern KY? Preferibly not Six Flags or Kings Island.
One that would satisfy teenagers & younger kids.

If you're willing to go 6 hours then make the trip to Cedar Point (Sandusky, OH). Otherwise if you aren't willing to go to Kings Island your options will be limited.
Other than Dollywood I guess.

Kings Island will be opening an all new expanded water park this summer

That's all you're going to get with a 4 hour radius attached to it.
If you bump it up to 6 hours:
Cedar Point- Sandusky, OH
Carowinds- Charlotte, NC
Kennywood- Mifflin, PA
Dollywood- Pigeon Forge, TN
You can always go to Camden Park as well HAHA

Up it to 6 hours and hit Cedar Point. If you're set on 4 hours...Looks like its Dollywood for you.

For a low key amusement park there is Beech Bend in Bowling Green. Other than that, the only place that close other than Kings Island is Dollywood. However I had more fun out in Pigeon Forge than I did at Dollywood.

I may stretch to 6 hours. I just wanted a quick vacation this year. Cedar Point sounds good. Can anyone tell me how it is compared to Kings Island? Those who have been to both which would you prefer?

Cedar point would definitely be the best place even though it's a little further than the 4 hour range...Dollywood like most people have said would be good too...I don't know if Kentucky Kingdom is still open or not. I went there as a kid one time and enjoyed it but can't really remember what they had there.
