Very entertaining game. I'll admit I thought it was over when JC was sacked on 3rd Down. Lots of guts and onions by Eagles. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Worst officials I've ever seen. Why in the Hell would Matney allow 16th Reg. officials in this game.

Reminiscent of J.K. Hall's catch in the corner on the Hail Mary a few years ago.

Or Shawn Grim's halfback throw to Tommy Taylor before that.

This game brings out the worst and the best in the Golden Eagles every year. Thankfully, the best tends to happen late.

That'd be correct.

Ashland scored first, kicked the extra point.

JC was 4th and long (18 or 20, I believe), threw a pass that Dalton Adkins made a fantastic catch on. Then ran it in for two.

I watched this on wymt... Johnson Central survives! Ashland had them backed up on qb sack to make 4th down and goal.. ball was around 18 yard line and the qb for jc made a heck of throw for a td.. then coach matney made a gutsy called and went for 2 and the win! awesome classic game here..

Ashland had JC 4th and 19 in OT and up 7 but could not hold JC on the 4th down pass play and 2 point conversion.

Very Proud tonight to be an Eagle. JC did not play the best game of the year by any means. However, their heart remained in the game and they pulled off a GREAT win! I love to see these boys, the school, and the community win. It is good for everyone. Thanks JC Eagles, You have guts, glory, and lots of HEART.
Not to mention a District Championship!

I would have to say this the best high school game I've watch in along time. I would like to say thank you to quality football teams for such a great game for fans to watch,hope you both go deep in the playoffs.

Maybe the best JC football game I've seen. JC didn't play as good as they can, but JC found a way to win.

Just seen the highlights of this game on sports overtime. Seemed like a he k of a game congrats to the Eagles. Can't wait to see another good one next week with The Pirates. Any one that was at this game the highlights made the last play look pretty close. Just wondering how close it really was to his knee being down before ball broke the goal line.

Trust me, I had one of the best views possible..... His knee was nowhere close to being down. He broke a tackle... stretched out for the goal line, then carried a defender into the endzone for the TD.

Congrats JC on a good win!!!! I think i called this one 3 weeks ago..I would have loved to heard the Ashland radio im sure it was the refs,the loud music,the moon the stars or what ever is the causefor the lose because we all no that no one can beat the mighty tomcats...Im sure it was the same ref crew that did the Ironton game lol NOT!!! Way to go eagles good luck rest of the year and remember Its just Ashland lol!!!!

I do not understand why Ashland kicked in ot. Everyone in the stadium knew if matney score he was going for 2 and with that style of offense it is almost impossible to stop 3 yards. But if they went for 2 and got it the game goes on. If not they still lose the game. So why kick it? Second man did the loss of baker hurt us. With Salow and watts already out the. Baker goes down so Massey has to go to RB. He had a nice game but it essentially meant we were without our two 2 wr's and top 2 running backs.

Now onto other things what a great game by both teams and what a gutsy run by dillon on the 2 point. He was initially stopped short just wanted it more. This loss stings and I feel for those kids in those Maroon helmets who played there hearts out. Like I said this Ashland defense would be the best JC had seen all year and holding them to 14 points in regulation and a season low in total point even in overtime says that as well. Great job tomcats great job eagles on a very well played game. Now best of Luck to both in the playoffs

Just gotta say..... JC played the best music tonight! Some of the songs that were played really set the mood for the game. Todd Conley did a great job, but now Todd does a great job with JCTV and the iHigh broadcasts.

The Halloween theme, The Saw theme, Old WWF/WWE wrestling themes, Movie/TV sound bytes.... It was just great! :Thumbs: :1:
