No matter. Highlands is in a different league right now.

So better maybe not but definately more relied upon due to lack of depth.

Baker was the beneficiary of that offensive line opening holes. He is very good but he is just a freshman and not that strong yet. He is elusive though.

All five of the Ashland newspaper prognosticators picked Highlands to beat Ashland in the morning edition of the newspaper.

Nobody picked David to beat Goliath now did they. Noone believes in these kids and I'm sure that's just the way they like it. Cause I know the players and Coaches believe in themselves.

I'm not knocking the line. Both sides have been great all season. Even Friday Shannon was just manhandling a kid all the way down field on a Massey td run. But quinton always read his blocks perfectly. He didn't do this stutter step stuff a lot of kids do. Malik has the same blocks as well as the other backs. But they don't run with the decisiveness or authority as baker. Which is to be expected since Malik has never played running back and the others hasn't got many carries this season. They are all getting better i just hope they have improved enough to win on Friday.

All teams need loyal fans like you. However, belief in one's self means nothing without accompanying ability to succeed.
Still, when you boys come up tomorrow, I recommend either Izzy's or City Barbecue as good choices. The former has great reuben sandwiches but my personal favorite is the fish sandwich. In either case, the potato pancakes are marvelous. As for City Barbeque, you can't beat the beef brisket with your choice of sides.

Also how is the Joe's Crab Shack in Bellevue? I love seafood but have never eaten there. The prices Online seem reasonable but is the quality and quantity good enough?

Would love to see Ashland win this one, but it is impossible to honestly pick against Highlands in a playoff game. Close for a Half, Birds open it up late as Ashland wears down and commits a couple costly turnovers.
Highlands 42
Ashland 20
Highlands 42
Ashland 20

They all picked Morgan over East a couple weeks ago as well and both these teams are in their area.

Joe's is good anywhere you go. There will be a wait so plan accordingly. Crawfish etoufee or softshell crabs.

For a regional flavor, I would recommend one of the Cincinnati style chili parlors such as Skyline, Gold Star, Dixie, or Empress. (Assuming that these are not available in the Ashland area.) Living in Minnesota I really miss Cincinnati style chili.

One thing about making your season run to Highlands is that this game is going to be the game that will let you know where you stand up to the top programs in our state . I remember in 2008 JC played a great game, but came up short. We and Brian Station, were close but Highlands prevailed.

Not a huge fan of Joe's, Buckhead is next door to it and very good. You could also go to Hofbrauhaus and grab a few cold ones before the game. Or you could step up in class and go to the Precinct in Cincinnati. There are also some new places on 2nd st in Cincinnati between the stadiums (5 mins from Ft Thomas).

Need directions from the AA to the stadium. They all picked Ashland to lose to GW and we all know how that turned out. Watching them practice today, they are FIRED up and are ready to go.

I agree that Buckhead would be WAY better than Joe's Crab Shack.

Believe me, you won't hear any excuses because the Tomcats won't win.

There is also a 50-50 chance that the bus from Ashland will have a flat tire on the way to Ft Thomas, but I would not bet on it.

No, a 50 50 chance Ashland wins the coin toss at the start of the game. I think that must be what T-CATS is talking about.

I would suggest mapquest. School address is 28 North Ft Thomas Ave. Ft Thomas Ky 41075. Stadium is behind school. Ft Thomas is not that big.

The address for Highlands High School is 2400 Memorial Parkway, Fort Thomas, KY. Arrive early. You will need to find parking on the street. I hope your trip is safe.

I don't know about their next win, but to get from the AA highway to Highlands, mapquest advises:
1. Take the US-27 ramp toward Alexandria/Cold Spring.
2. Turn right onto Alexandria Pike/US-27 for 2.9 miles to
3. Stay straight to go onto I-471 N for 4.2 miles to
4. Take the KY-1120/Memorial Parkway exit, EXIT 4, toward Bellevue/Newport
5. Merge onto Memorial Pky/KY-1120 E toward Bellevue for 2.3 miles to.
6. 2400 Memorial Pkwy on the left.

Probably the best way if you do not know where you are going, but sure not the quickest way.
