Shocked!

Same here. I had a good zinger but now is not the time. Tough losses in our area tonight and that is never good. Deep down we all want this speck of the map to do well and represent.
#6
Congrats Pikeville!! Good luck the rest of the way from this Belfry fan.
#7
I don't think our coaching staff is capable of winning the big game!!
#8
Congrats to Pikeville. Out played the Rams the second half all over the field.
Couldn't take a snap.
Dumb penalties.
Players holding up their arms because they didn't know where to line up. Two lost fumbles on kickoffs.
Saddest display of football I've seen maybe ever for a second round playoff game.
Talk about laying down.
Arm tackling. Or lack of tackling.
Just no fight or emotion.
But the panthers had plenty.
Good luck next week panthers.
You deserved this one!

wow congrats Pikeville

Congrats Panthers, never doubted you. Raceland went up 12-0 and you didn't quit. Really the Panthers outplayed the Rams most of the game...you made the prognostictors on here look stupid....:notworthy

Raceland peaked 4 weeks ago vs Paintsville. Since then, its been downhill. Cant really blame the coaching staff other than the 70 yd screen pass. We had no one further back than 10 yards off the ball. Pikeville wanted it more and have picked a hell of a time to peak. A few calls in the first half were questionable. One of which negated a touchdown the other kept us from getting inside the redzone. Great game plan by not kicking off to raceland. Stopped their momentum before it started. Hats off to their coaching staff.

These young men have really "grown up " during the course of this season to get to where they are now. Wow!, who would have predicted this! Just want to say congrats to these Panthers on a job well done! Watched this game live stream on PikeTv, and what a come back. Raceland has had a great season, and one fine football team. Was impressed with Beach and the whole team. Good quarter back, and big strong line as well. Your fans can be proud of this season's team. Take care of buisness next week Panthers! HAIL PIKEVILLE!!

Way to go Pikeville!

If someone said there would only be two teams left in the Big Sandy Area come Round 3 I don't think many would believe Pikeville would be one of them.

Gutsy performance by Coach Mac and his young Panthers. They will certainly be very formidable in the next couple years.

Pikeville made me look stupid. Congrats to Panthers. I didn't see this one coming.

Don't feel bad, i don't think hardly any one did either. They were just determined.

Wow pikeville really shocked me here but congrats on a huge win:worthy:

Stated if Raceland didnt put this game away it would come back and hurt them and it did.. I also stated a while back that Pikeville has improved over the season even though there wins was over less than average compeititon. But tonight shows you its hard to beat a team twice.

Best high school football game I have ever seen live. Raceland has one heck of a team, but the Panthers just had more heart tonight.

Worst coaching I have seen in a long long time
This coaching staff can't come up with a way to get the ball into the playmakers hands
No guts to throw the ball down the field
This big bad D and O line I heard about all year was a joke
This team is to good and has to much potential to be held back by coaches with no balls

I will take my crow please

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Raceland's offense is supposed to be pass heavy. And if I am correct, explain to me why we don't get the ball into the hands of Messer and Vance? I just don't understand it. Did anyone besides me notice that Raceland was flat the entire second half? They walked off the field at halftime and walked back on to start the third quarter. Did anyone notice how Pikeville went off the field and came back on? They ran. Did anyone notice the lack of enthusiasm from our coaches? How bout the Pikeville coaching staff? Their coach is always up and ready to go.

I honestly believe that the current coaching staff at Raceland can not win the big game.

Play calling has nothing to do w it this time around. Minus the reverese on the 2pt attempt and the lack of a nickel package on the 70 yd screen td. Our defense lost this game. In all 3 losses this year, we failed to play consistent defense when behind. We probably should have thrown the ball more, but we dis not tackle at all in the 2nd half and simply not fallig on a squib kick is just poor choices made by inexperienced players on special teams. Pikevilles game plan was to control our big play ability by not kicking to us. That stalemated our momentum before it even started. We looked no different tonight than in the first half against east carter week 1. Pikeville wanted it more. Plain and simple.

Congrats Pikeville!

Any relation to Joker Phillips?

Raceland has one of the best coaching staffs in Class A football. Coach Maynard and his assistants do an outstanding job preparing the players every week. If you guys knew anything at all about football then you could see that. This game came down to two things; Raceland coming out flat in the second half, instead of putting Pikeville away, the Rams laid back and let Pikeville slowly build confidence. Great teams have that killer instinct and know how to break their opponent. Raceland didn't have that killer instinct tonight. Secondly, missed tackles. Several missed tackles at the line of scrimmage by our d-line and linebackers. Also let's not overlook the two kickoffs the panthers recovered. Those were critical possessions taken away from the Rams and it cost them dearly. I thought Raceland played well offensively for the most part. You people saying the coaching staff needs to throw the ball more are hilarious. Raceland was having success running the ball, why would you go away from what's working. If
Raceland would have thrown the ball 50 times I'm sure you guys would be saying they should have ran it. Bottom line, Pikeville played with more effort and enthusiasm in the second half.

Pikeville has been Jeckyl and Hyde all year. It wouldnt shock me if they gave Fairview fits as well

I have given Pikeville a hard time on these forums all season so when I chose Pikeville to pull the upset on the pregame discussion thread it may have surprised some of you. I have watched these young Panthers take their lumps and grow from their mistakes from earlier in the season and that is the sign of a good team, thus is why I chose them to win. Great game Panthers and to all of you who doubted my pick would you like whip cream on you're piece of crow pie???
