Collins led the entire game and had many chances to put this one away but failed to do so. Central Hardin scored with just over 1 minute remaining and Collins drove from their own 15 to the Central Hardin 19 with 1 second left, where a pass to the end zone fell incomplete. DeAndre Farris went out very early in the game with an injury and did not return.

Collins kicker Blanton Creque had an outstanding game hitting 3 out of 4 field goals (he barely missed one from 41 yards), kicking all but one of his kickoffs into the end zone, and recovering his own onside kick.

Collins now has 2 loses on the season, both against 7-0 6A teams by a combined 6 points. The Titans continue district play next week as they host Waggener.

Yes, give CH credit - they got it done when it counted. Collins has played a tough non-district schedule, 3 6-A schools (Simon K, Ballard and CH - all decent teams) and 1 5-A (S. Oldham). Collins losing leading rusher and best overall player (WKU commit) early in 1st quarter and Defensive End could have made a difference. All we hear about on the TV news around here is how St X is without their leading rusher against their opponents, so for a 4A school it makes a world of difference when they lose theirs. Here's hoping they can get healed up for remaining games and deep playoff run.

Central Hardin, No. 19 in The Courier-Journal's Litkenhous Ratings, took advantage of two interceptions in the second half and rallied past Collins 36-32 Friday night in high school football action.

For the Bruins (7-0), Justin Rouse threw for two touchdowns and completed 19 passes for 99 yards, and running back Xavier Arnette rushed for two touchdowns and amassed 113 yards on 19 carries.

For Collins (5-2), Lawson Page completed 17 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns. Ryan Watkins rushed for 100 yards on 18 carries and Nathan Sames had 7 receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns.
