I've never been so happy to eat some crow. Congrats to Raceland for proving me wrong and blowing Fairview out!!

Congrats Rams.

Congrats to the Rams. A well played game. Fairview didn't do one thing right all night.

how many turnovers? hope someone has stats for game. I thought there would be more offense from both, but I did figure Raceland to be a 2-3 td favorite.

So does this mean TJ and his staff are good coaches now?
Is TJ now a better coach than Nate?

I said all year that Raceland was probably the best 1a team in the east.
Congrats Rams!

I had Raceland an easy winner in this. He is a good coach, regardless, not top of the line but not the worst.

Finally a 4 qtr game with intensity. It could have and should have been a lot worse.

uhhh, no and that is a fact, from a Ram too. I have never known of Nate to completely obliterate a team and fall flat and lose like we did to Pikeville. That was on coaches, they didn't have the team focused for the task at hand and was preparing for Fairview and lost an inexcusable game.

The season isn't over yet and tonight's win shouldn't be the highlight of the season. Raceland needs to move forward and focus on beating Paintsville next week to secure the district.
10-18-2013, 10:26 PM
Take care of Paintsville next week and the district belongs to the rams!

Rams special teams and defense played a big roll in putting the offense in good field position. Once again the winner of the turnovers wins the game!
Conner Messer had four big time plays. One was a fake pitch that left three red jocks laying on the field. Result TD!!
Another one was a big TD pass to the corner of the endzone! Perfect in stride pass!
Another play was on defense- C. Messer run a kid down from behind. Never giving up! Last second dive. Tripping the runner on the one yard line.
Another was a diving lay out catch for a first down!
Lots of players deserved a game ball. But you gotta give the first one to this kid!

As far as tonight goes, Raceland simply put Fairview back in their place and reminded them who they are. Throughout the history of this rivalry Fairview may have a lucky streak for 2 or 3 years but for the most part Fairview has never been on par with Raceland in football and Raceland blowouts have been very common in this series.

Fairview gets a trip to Pikeville in second round. Rams overlooked this game looking for revenge last year and got sent home.

Just saw onWSAZ that there was a wreck on 64 going back into Westvirginia those eagle fans better be careful going home!

Doubt that happens this year. Even coaches learn lessons!
Your so right about that game! Lesson learned!

Congrads on the win Raceland. Raceland was prepared and was not going to lose this one.
10-18-2013, 10:51 PM
Good job by the staff getting messer more involved in the offense.

To be honest between injuries on the D , & our own mistakes is what beat us . Not trying to take away from Raceland but i was more impressed with Hazard , Bellevue , & Pike Couny Central than i was with Raceland tonight .
10-18-2013, 10:59 PM
Congrats Rams on a big time win.
10-18-2013, 11:09 PM
Leave it to Talon to come out with that. Raceland had big injuries as well. Could it be what I had said earlier this year? That is that Fairview is not as tough as they thought. They squeaked by Hazard. Hazard quit the run and kept kicking the ball to them or they wouldn't have even been in that game.
