With three teams from the other district being tied behind Pikeville, will this be the way it works out?
4 Phelps at 1 Raceland
3 Paintsville at 2 South Floyd
4 Nicholas at 1 Pikeville
3 Allen Central at 2 Fairview
4 Phelps at 1 Raceland
3 Paintsville at 2 South Floyd
4 Nicholas at 1 Pikeville
3 Allen Central at 2 Fairview

I am assuming that is unless the issues with Fairview affects their seeding or even eligibility.

I think Fairview will maintain their eligibility. Idk if that kind of punishment is fair. I also think, that if all i know is certain. They will maintain there number 2 spot in the district. Unless more things r found in the investigation.

Fairview and Pikeville will be a war.
10-26-2013, 06:22 PM
Pikeville should win that war.

Pikeville wins :HitWall: :HitWall: :HitWall:

If Pikeville stop the run from Fairview then Fairview isn't close because I just don't think Fairview can stop Pikevilles offense.

^^Agreed. Offensively Raceland and Pikeville are almost carbon copies. One great rb, several really good ones, a qb that can run between the tackles and some great atheletes at WR. Raceland has a little more height, but Pikeville at home is probably 2-3 tds better than Fairview. At Fairview? Probably +8.

If that's the way it goes down, next year McPeek will have them closing practice with a new chant. That is "Regional Champs".

If Fairview is ruled out Will Raceland get a bye?
10-27-2013, 09:38 PM
It may take awhile, even after the season has ended.

Pikeville is a very good team but it's Racelands region to win if they want it bad enough. Messer and Beach are the best two skills guys in this region, those two can carry the Rams all the way to Bowling Green. Beach is the real deal.

Estep is very special, I dare you to show me someone with as big a knack for making a big play on offense AND defense at any given time. Chase Hall has been a consistent, steady performer who puts the. Team on his back in big games, etc. Just go back and look at what he did to Fairview 2 years ago in the playoffs. Gashed them with big runs, tough yards, etc. There are MANY talented skill guys in 1A in the Eastern part. Jones from Hazard, Daniels from Paintsville (when healthy), etc.

It's not fair to really speculate on that this early, but I would think that would amount to an unfair competitive advantage if they did that. Most likely IF Fairview is banned (big if), then they will find a way to ensure Raceland has a game in the first round.

Actually it would possibly give pikeville a first Round Bye. Not Raceland because all 4 of your districts teams would have a game. Our other two teams would have to move up a seed and that would leave pikeville without a 1st round game.

Well there would be an uneven number of teams. Somebody would not be playing a first Round game.

For this reason I believe Fairview will play.

Don't think so. They couldn't even carry Raceland past Pikeville last year, much less to BG. As a twosome IMO they are behind Estep and Hall of Pikeville and Jones and Hudson of Hazard.

Yee of little faith!

To say your two guys are the best in the region is definitely a stretch. They're great, imo. However, i'd put Chase Hall and Cody Estep up against anybody in the east. Estep is a pure athlete, and a playmaker...a game changer. Hall, along with his speed and quickness, pound for pound is one of the strongest backs you'll find in 1-A in the east.

We have several twosomes player at williamsburg an the east will say WOW :Cheerlead:Cheerlead

I think its almost impossible to compare twosomes in the east. Simply bc they r all so diverse. Hudson and Jones r both big guys. Physically more dominating than the other 2somes. Beech/Messer are very ellusive, but do not shy away from contact. Estep/Hall are kind of a combo of Speed(Estep)/Strong Speed(Hall). All of these guys are studs. Would love to see this offensive combination in an All Star game:
QB: The kid from Bellevue
RB: Beech, Hall, Jones
WR: Estep, Messer, Hudson
TE: Healthy Kash Daniels
Good luck defending that. What i am saying is their is a mess of talent in the Eastern part of 1A.

Good point Scotty Bronson. Just think of what a force they would be.

Imo if they played a 1A allstar game the east would beat the west. The east has more tallent than I have seen in single A since the new alignment. Couple tht with the Size Raceland has this year, as well as Fairview, you have alot to look at. 1A may be the best its ever been this year.

On the west side of the bracket, has anyone seen Bethlehem play this year? Are they a legitimate that?
10-29-2013, 11:53 AM
I heard on the radio lastnight that they are meeting at the BOE today to talk about doing a coin toss or possibly a rematch of the Phelps-South Floyd game? Can anyone give any details to this?
10-29-2013, 10:31 PM
This weeks games will determine phelps, ac, sf seeding. There are tie breakers to decide these outcomes. No coin flip or replay should be needed.

Connor Messer makes big plays on both sides of the ball, as well as making big plays on special teams and on offense at multiple positions (running back, QB, receiver, etc...).

Here is what I have based on the stats posted on KHSAA:
Estep: 814 yards on 30 receptions. 10 TD's that's 27 yards per catch, 1 of every 3 passes thrown his way he converts to touchdowns. 4 interceptions, 1 returned for a touchdown. 5 fumble recoveries, 3 of them returned for touchdowns. 30.5 tackles from the safety position. 14 TD's this year, 35 for his career (receiving) he is a junior. I don't know his TOTAL for his career.
Messer: 21 rushes for 196 yards, 3 touchdowns. 6/12 passing for 3 touchdowns. 24 catches for 585 yards (24 yards per catch), 5 touchdowns. 3 interceptions, 2 run back for touchdowns. 48 total tackles. 13 TD's this year, I don't know his career number.
