Belfry and yes as a Black Bear fan, I still have confidence in Belfry that they will be in BG competing for ANOTHER state championship. Wouldn't we ALL like to be in Belfry's shoes in all the State Championships they have played in last several years.
#9
Duh, Belfry!
#10
Sorry, but not sure how to take your prediction. By cruising do you mean not showing up?

Will you give me 136 points and Jackson County and bet like you did on the Bell County/Harlan game?

Belfry needs to work defense all week. I hope Coach has their attention and they are ready to be humble.

To the players of Jackson Co. reading some of the comments/predictions on here by posters, which I know some of you do, I want to let you know I am PROUD of you and what you have accomplished this season, like you I wish people would just make predictions and be constructive and leave it at that but some people like to make jokes on here about us and this game - we know we are huge underdogs, but it is not personal to you, and they mean you no harm, they do not realize how hurtful they can be and how it can affect young men who have worked their tails off to do something no one else in Jackson Co. history has done, they do not realize the miserable home lives some of you have, and how this season has helped you believe in yourself, that through Christ you are an overcomer and can make something of your life, they know what they do sometimes, or they do and do not care, we can't help that, show them grace, be bigger men, pray for them and bless them, do not take it personal, it is part of life, it is what it is, you will have to overcome harsher things in life, so keep your head up and keep chopping wood, let it make you stronger, realize sarcasm and ridicule is something everyone has to endure, do not let it defeat you, let it fuel your desire to be all God intends you to be!

I could not be more proud to be one of your coaches, there is no other program in the state, coaches in the state or players in the state I would rather be with this Friday night than you! I love all of you. All I can ask is you prepare hard, play your best, and give Belfry all you got! We know they are one of the best programs in the state and have a legendary coach, we respect that - all you can do is give all you got, and no matter what the scoreboard says you will be state champs in my heart always! Love you boys!!!Go Generals!!!

Jackson Co is much improved, this is their winningest season in school history if I'm not mistaken. But Belfry is gonna be Belfry in this one.

The Cross Movement you sound like a coach at Jackson County.an if you are a coach try an use some of these predictions.Just be careful how you use them.BGR is mainly for coaches, dad and sports fans GO JACKSON COUNTY from 64sur :Cheerlead

Belfry will win big! Unless there is a typhoon!

Jackson Co has one of the weakest schedules in all of the state across all classes. They have not one quality win because they didn't have a quality opponent on their schedule. They will be lucky to score. In fact I would guess that they don't even get in the end zone. It's not hard to have the best record in school history when your football program just started like 3 or 4 years ago and you load your schedule up with horrible teams lol. http://scoreboard.12dt.com/scoreboard/kh.../?id=41816

I know what you are saying, I am simply taking up for my boys always will, it is who I am, I have been with these boys since June, I got their back.

BELFRY is GREAT, I am not putting down people's opinion on their prediction, just their sarcasm about JCHS. All I am saying is I want to see the kids give their best, that's it! Their best may not be good enough, I get that...I have the utmost respect for Belfry trust me...

You do know we are still trying to build a program right? Who should we have scheduled? We aren't Highlands brother, we have to first compete with those in a similar situation as we are in. Your argument would be rationale if we were a tradtion rich program beating up on weaker teams. Up until this point, we have been that weaker team everyone has scheduled to beat up on for homecoming, so you have to first compete and build a culture of winning, winning is an attitude that has to be developed, and you have to make steady gains in it?

I also disagree with your comments about our opponents, several of them have coaching staffs working hard building up their program like us, they are comparable to the situation we are in and are doing a good job trying to field competitive teams, they are making steady progress!

If you think that Trimble Co, Clinton Co, Jenkins, East Ridge, and Berea has helped you prepare for the playoffs then good luck brother. All I am saying is the tougher the schedule you play in the reg season the more prepared your team will be come playoff time. So when Belfry is scoring at will and your team has trouble getting it past mid field ask yourself if those non district teams that you scheduled help them prepare for the playoffs or not. In my experience it does not and will not have them prepared.:dudecomeon:

Sir, did you read my post? I SAID we are trying to build a winning culture by playing teams in similar positions as we are, our program has to build positive momentum. I never implied it prepares us for the playoffs, before we can talk about state titles we have to first build excitement for the program in the community win against comparable programs and establish a culture, we are BUILDING, we have not arrived, we are proud what this team has accomplished in this building project, they have laid a great foundation. As far as Belfry, they are one of the best programs in the state, if not the best in 3A we know that, we respect that, we are not even close to the tradition of that program, we are trying build that, hopefully we can get there some day, in the meantime is it okay if we celebrate the hard work and progress of Jackson Co. Football? Is it okay if I ask my boys to give all they got Friday, is it okay if show some pride in my team?
#25
Playing lower level programs will not help you build a foundation for a program to stand on. Its great to get wins but honestly you might want to ask yourself are they really getting better by playing against those teams and the answer is no. Don't try to build a foundation of false hope. It will not work.

Sir, did you read my post? I SAID we are trying to build a winning culture by playing teams in similar positions as we are, our program has to build positive momentum. I never implied it prepares us for the playoffs, before we can talk about state titles we have to first build excitement for the program in the community, win against comparable programs and establish a winning mindset and culture like all of the Top schools like Belfry have done, Belfry was not Belfry over night, they had to build the winning tradition they have, they built a championship program over time....

You have to start somewhere, we are BUILDING, we have not arrived, we are proud of what this team has accomplished in this building project, they have laid a great foundation for the future. As far as Belfry, they are one of the best programs in the state, if not the best in 3A we know that, we respect that, we are not even close to the tradition of that program, we are trying build that, hopefully we can get there some day, in the meantime is it okay if we celebrate the hard work and progress of the 2013 Jackson Co. Football team? Is it okay if I ask my boys to give all they got Friday? Is it okay if I show some pride in my team? Isn't that what High School football is about? C'mon big fella I am never going to apologize for wins no matter who it is against, especially at a school who just started football and is starting to turn a corner! I love my team and I love what they have accomplished thus far bro, your weak schedule blah, blah stuff wont change that my man...

That's your opinion, you are entitled to it. You are missing a key element, in order to get kids out that can help sustain long term success you have to build excitement, winning builds that. Lets just end this because we wont agree. Have a good one guru ....Proud General!!!!

We have been criticized in the past for our "weak" playing schedule. Not many realized that we travel 2 - 3 hours ONE WAY for our games, and many teams just refused to play us because of the return trip. Gradually, over our 5 year history, we have improved our scheduling AND our teams! It's a work in progress, Cross Movement and I commend you for supporting your team so passionately.

Few have the tradition rich and heritage that the Belfry teams can rightfully boast. That is certainly a goal of mine to reach with our Harlan County Black Bears team!! And, we are on our way!!

All fan bases have their morons....however, more than ridiculous predictions and insensitive remarks, I think 99% of the Belfry folks are just as passionate about their team as you and I are of ours'.

So, it's the play offs, and anything can happen!! I'm so excited!!

Good luck to both teams, and may you have an injury free post season.

Belfry by 42!!!

There arent any Belfry fans making these crazy predictions. The only Belfry fan that made one did'nt have a blowout. Yes, I think Belfry will win but in no way I am going to imply that Jackson County will not give any effort because I know they will play at the best of their ability. Wishing Safe travels for Jackson County and their Fans.

I for one am proud of your team for making it to the playoffs.IT does take time to build a winning program but with perseverance dedication & determination anyone can achieve their goal. Looking forward to seeing your team rise to the top.:Thumbs:
