bucslover68 Wrote:Trying to figure out where all the confident DAWG fans are...this is boring...Well here's one of the confident Dawg fan coming off the pourch. I am confident that this will be a good game. I do know Belfry will be heavly favorite and should win. But I think LC has a puncher chance but they will have to play there best game of the year and Belfry will have to make some mistakes. And even then LC will have to take advantage of those mistakes and turn them into points. The longer this game stays close the better chance LC has. Belfry is the team to beat. I love and support my Dawg Family and pull for them in every game. But if Belfry win's as exspected then it's Basket ball time in Louisa. As most know Belfry is my second favorite program in the state they have earned that over the years watching them build that program and how they have handled there success. And it all started with Coach Haywood IMO. LC will all ways be my favorite Once a Dawg always a part of the Dawg Family. Good luck to both and GO DAWGS :Cheerlead

Besides X Willis, Belfry is the healthiest they've been since the first of the year. LC caught us looking ahead to JC last time out...I don't think we'll be looking ahead this time. IMO Belfry looking to make a statement..

Belfry has been fighting the injury bug all year, very few games this year have the Pirates had all skilled positions healthy and clicking. There lucky they have a very deep team. With so much depth they can rest and let players heal, back to 100%. I don't know if they are 100% yet but I'm sure by the time the Bourbon game gets here they will be firing on all cylinders. In the mean time, Its time for the Dawgs to take there shot. Belfry rolls regardless of whos playing or sitting.

Belfry is guaranteed to once again show why they're top notch at choking at some point in the playoffs, but I doubt it will be in this round.

Imo, Lawrence was peaking when they beat Raceland and continued to do so against Belfrey the first game. Since then, the Rams and Bulldogs have been moving in differet directions. Lawrence is fairly young and this team isnt anywhere near ready for a playoff Belfrey, even though Belfrey's defense is young as well.

IMO, Belfry hasn't been running on all cylinders for the past few weeks. Hopefully with Hatfield back at the FB position, that will change this week. Belfry is better with him in the backfield.

If it makes you feel any better, Prestonsburg is a pretty decent team which has come a long way (it was LC's next loss after the Belfry loss). The Bulldog's loss to the Blackcats shouldn't result in your being this down on your team, imo.

Pirates by 20. Belfry is getting into playoff mode. BG bound.

hh:
I was actually stating the opposite. Raceland played one of their most undeciplined games of the season. Turning the ball over, penalties stalling drives, or taking the offense out of the kickers range. They were also without senior rbs Daylin Beech and Zach Litteral. Litteral wasnt that big of a loss, but Beech was impossible to replace. That was Raceland's worst game of the season.
Not to take anything away from LC though. They took advantage of all the mistakes Raceland made as well as took advantage of the poor run defense the Rams were playing. I credit Lawrence for getting Raceland focused again. The Rams have been a totall different team since then. Lawrence is young. Next year they will be a tough out for anybody, imo. But in response to your post, I was actually speaking of Raceland vastly improving since that game and Lawrence playing as good of ball as they could. Would love to see them knock off the Pirates though.

Lawrence Co. would be well-advised to acquire the Johnson Central/Belfry tape.
Though the Bulldogs don't have JC's personnel everywhere, they DO have a pretty good run-blocking offensive line. If LC is to make this a game, it'll need to beat Belfry at its own game - with ball control.

You think the Belfry offense is better off without Hatfield in the backfield?

That's the kicker...LC, although talented, just dont have the same skill personel to play like JC did. We did put up 28 on JC's defense. Keep in mind also that this is a completely different team than the one LC played the first time around and is basically 100% healthy minus X Willis. As I stated previously, LC kind of caught us with our pants down looking ahead to JC.
I think Haywood will have the Pirates focused this time around and they may look to make a statement. Will Belfry run up the score? No, there has not been a Belfry team to do that in the 28 years that Haywood has been captain of the ship.

This is what happens when you all are left with no adult supervision!
1. Sani is not even the best qb in his own district let alone the regionhe would 3 after mac justice 1 and aj cyrus 2.
2. Lc may have played the worst half of football they played all year in the 1st half at raceland. Raceland is always talking about who didn't play well lc had several starters out as well.
3. Lc is just as talented at the skill positions as belfry. More talent on defense than belfry. First 11 on 11 players they are even its the next 75 players belfry can bring that will give u fits.

Next playing at cam lc will have to be perfect and if belfry makes a mistake lc will have to capitalize on (of course that is if the refs don't give belfry a do over like last game)

dawg fan Wrote:This is what happens when you all are left with no adult supervision!I'll give it to ya about the defense. But to say that LC is just as talented at the skill positions on offense is crazy. Carr is big and fast. Hatfield will hit ya and make you like it and keep going and Johnson is just wicked fast. Not to mention Carr is good at fullback as well. And then there's Dari. Good solid runner. Oh yeah and Sani warren. Good arm good speed needs work on the pitch in the option but mistakes happen. Belfry is too deep and out matches LC at the skilled offensive positions.

Young and inexperienced is what we are on defense. Our freshman have stepped up big this year and they will again. They have showed what kind of defense they are capable of and they are due another good defensive game.
