#1
Does this news surprise anyone?

Good to see. If rather see him stay in the sec. At least a shot a national title. Plus michigan is all past tradition right now in the acc or sec they would be low level just like ky.

According to twitter, Harris has never been interested in UK. But there was a reason for the decommit, whether it be due to the new offensive coordinator or something else, I am just curious as to which schools have been in his ear lately.
#4
I would say the new offensive coordinator would have a lot to do with it!!
#5
According to his mom today UK and UL will be in it in the end. Her words not mine. Seen it on twitter..
#6
Thank God I can root for him now.
#7
Lets hope he goes somewhere that will take him to the next level.
#8
I just hope he goes to SEC.

his mom also said Michigan was still his #1 choice

sounds like someone told him to take his time picking a school, which is great advice.

I'm told he has been greeting a lot of flack from Michigan Fans. I think you can scratch Michigan off the list. I think UK is the odds on favorite. Let's all hope so.

Imo, I think Stoops is going to get things on track. Atleast back to a winning record. He seems to be a pretty good recruiter. Its goina be damn near impossible to recruit Alabama and Florida kids, they all end ups staying right around there. Trick is getting a few 4 star guys along with some 3 or high 2 star players, that can be developed into 2 or 3 year starters. Getting the home grown studs is probably the biggest issue. Would love to see Harris at UK. Kentucky HS football is growing leaps and bounds year to year. Lets hope it continues. I think that given time, Stoops can right the ship.

That seems odd, recruits normally catch flack from the fans of the schools they didn't pick. Oh well, if that's the case, bad for Michigan, good for UK.

I hope he wears blue. Mommas don't let your babies grow up to be Tards.
#16
Damien Harris we need you at KENTUCKY :runtouchd

Would love to see Harris in Blue, but sadly i think he will go with Petrino and his style of offense at UL..

This recruitment could get interesting. Don't see this kid ever giving uk much of a look. However you never know. He's a great kid and will have success wherever he chooses. Just hope he has enough help to stay healthy at southern . If you thought last year he was a one man train, this year will be even worse.

He may have a little more help next year.

I thought he committed to Michigan way too early in the first place. He should have set back and fielded offers from other teams to see what would come available. I think Michigan's early interest in him DID raise eyebrows and get him attention from the media other schools though. He's a heck of a back when he has the ball and an open sideline. I hope that he really thinks things over this time before deciding, talks to a LOT of people in his circles that can be trusted and makes a good decision that he can live with when he is absolutely sure he has found the right fit in a school. This is not a knock on Southern at all, but, there is no telling what this kid is capable of with a little more protection than what he has had up to this point. I hope he stays healthy, keeps his feet on the ground and his eyes on the prize. There are a lot of distractions for a young man of his talent with people pulling him this way and that. He needs to beware of "friends" telling him he is the greatest of all others who can do no wrong, and of course the finer figured feminine things that can derail any young man on the rise. Best of luck to the kid, the future is bright for him and I hope he gets his brass ring.

Should get interesting. I agree Papa, kid is unreal talented.

Saw on twitter that Michigan didn't want him to play basketball. Don't know if that is true or not but to me a school should never ask you to step away from another sport. Is Madison Southern basketball team any good? Haven't heard that much of them.

They have a record of 7-10 for what it's worth.

I got a chance to talk with Damien at Southern's basketball game last night and he still REALLY like Michigan, but Michigan also had the #1 WR from the state of Florida pull his commitment as well and that did effect Damien. Damien told me said he wanted to go to a place where he wasn't the ONLY guy and he meant that in a positive manner. UK will be in the fold depending on what they get on the OL, but I look for him to go somewhere else, he wants to compete for a National Title and he said so, and we all know that isn't happening at UK, but I would love to see it.
#25
If UK can have a decent year (back to a bowl game) I could possibly see Harris going there. UK will have to show that they are on the up if they are going to pull in a big time recruit like him.
#26
Michigan will not compete for a national title. Will UK ? Probably not but they have a better shot than the wolverines.

No no! My bad. He has been catching flack, SINCE he decommitted from Michigan.
#28
His parents said UK and Louisville were in the mix, but I guess everybody is in the mix. He will probably end up at Alabama, like most great backs, in the past 7 or 8 years.

Are you saying Kentucky has a better chance than Michigan at winning a national championship?

WHAT? Are you talking about football or basketball? If your talking about football, then your crazy. Even UK fans would not say such a thing. Move UK to the MAC or even Conference USA and they will hoist a conference thophy year in and year out... but for a better chance than winning a national championship before Michigan? :please:
