Paintsville 2014
JC will probably win about 6 or 7 games this year now that belcher left . With that easy schedule they should win 7 . But I think they will miss belcher a whole lot . Time will tell they dont have a go to back anymore .
I think if belcher stays healty all year Paintsville will go as far as he takes them .
Podunker s Back!!
If Paintsville doesnt run the spread and let Phelps get down field some, they wont be mich differet than they were this past year. Their line isnt made for ground and pound. Kash is big and strong but i dont think hehas the quickness in his feet to be seen as a threat to run out of a tripple option or vear. Paintsville will hae to utilize his Arm if they wish to be successsful in the run game, by keeping teams from stscking inside 7-10 yards. In the same way, they will need to get the run game going to utilize play action passing, which imo has een nearly completely erased and neglected by most hs OCs

I see what you are saying SB, but if he gets to the edge that linebacker or DB better hope they can get him from the side cause I don't think they want to square up on him or it's going to be bad for them. And you are totally correct about the play action but then again who knows who will be QB. I see Phelps and Belcher getting the ball on designed plays in the open field. I miss football.

I had a chance to watch a few of his games last year the kid is explosive and has good speed . I think JC did not use him right they wanted to keep all the other running backs happy. I think this up in coming year you will see what kind of talent he has . I think he should of played for paintsville two years ago he would of been one the top five running backs in the state . But this year if he stays healty you will see a big difference in him .

Mr. Podunker.... Either you think everybody on here is an idiot OR you really have some mental health issues if you think we don't know who you are.

I hope Belcher has a great senior season at Paintsville. I hope his transferring means that you will stay off the JC football threads and maybe your twin fb_fan will follow suit.

So Paintsville fans... enjoy the troublemaking, idiotic (and his terrible grammar and spelling) posts from your newest troll podunker.

Its real simple. If you work hard and dont whine and pout you will get as many touches as you want in the JC system. And there is no doubt Paintsville will have two of the best running backs in the state in 1A football this year.If you are in the backfield in the JC system the thing you need to do better than anything is block. If you dont block you dont play.Maybe that could explain a lot.
JC if you block you get a lot of touches . Oh I didnt know that . Podunker is back . JC might win 6 games this up in coming football season . Like I said earlier they dont have a go to running back anymore . JC will win there district this year again and get hammered in the second round of the playoffs like always . But one thing they do make it but there is no good teams in the mountains . Belfry is there only threat .
You may be right. They may not win more than 6 games. But no doubt about it they will have one of the fastest backfields they have ever had.Gound may be the quickest tailbacks in the Eastern part of the state. And you can guarantee he will see a lot of touches. With Skaggs and Ratliff getting a lot of carries too.And don't forget about Workman. He sure gives defenses a whole different look.I cant wait to see all these kids. And man what a group of Freshman coming in.Getting ready to be some exciting times with JC football.
surprised matney didnt offer his dad a coaching position to keep him. hes normally pretty good at that. P ville could win 1a or at least make it to the semis with this addition they will beat pikeville like a drum they cant tackle and lost there best lineman if im not mistaken. Belcher deserves more touches than he got last year. I watched jc play last year and belcer played both ways then idk why he wouldnt at paintsville.

His dad knows nothing about football.Just how to complain.Total for last year.
94 rushes
1377 yards
18 td's
Defense stats
7 tackles
11 games. Yeah pretty even i'd say.
By anyones standards that is a pretty good rushing season for playing 4a football.I don't know how anyone can complain with those offensive numbers.JC as a team had 6 backs with over 200 yards rushing. Not a lot of teams can say that. But just maybe you didn't watch a lot of games.

Pikeville Paintsville game will be dandy IMO, both teams with big losses in graduation but both have very good skill players. Can't wait to see both teams go at it, best to both programs. Should be a good thread in a few months. Good to see ya back JP

Someone is upset that the Cards were the instrument of choice for a few teams last year lol.

Bad day for the Tiger family, Coach Brugh passed away.
[Image: http://www.paintsvilleherald.com/news/up...sports.jpg]

Yes TB it is a sad day for the Tiger Nation. Coach Brugh was a GREAT MAN and GREAT COACH!

Would like to take this moment to also send Grats out to Lane Daniels on his signing to play at the next level!

Also....Notice the helmets in the pic. The Tigers now have TWO helmets this upcoming season! They BOTH look SWEET!!!!!!!!!

They no longer have a go to back because he is graduating this year.

Thanks for posting this Hook , it's been a while since a Tiger has went on to college to play football. Congrats to Lane and to Prater Helton as he is moving on to UPike to further his career too. Will miss those guys and all that graduated.

Congrads to these kids!!
Thanks TB for mentioning Prater. Just simply slipped my mind. Happy for both of them.
Between Raceland and Paintsville that makes 6 or 7 kids going onto play at the next level. Kudos for the teachers and coaches that helped gove them the tools and knowledge they needed to achieve their goals.

With that said, in response to the "tackling to the side" comment, about Belcher. I think alot of people will be suprised when they see the size of the Raceland dbs and lbs next year. They will be smaller up front but pound for pound bigger and stronger. Experience will be their weakest point. Much like Pikeville and Paintsville, i look for it to be much of the same next year.
Thank you Coach Brugh!!
I can't wait to watch Belcher and Phelps run in the option speed offense. Go Tigres!
Funny to me that people say JC has no go to back now. They said the same thing when Shawn Grimm graduated, as good as he was, he is now shadowed by JJ Jude. Idk that they have another Jude, but its safe to say they will find another kid no one has heard of or talked about yet and next season put another 3,000+ yard rushing year together. As for Paintsville, it will be interesting to see their district play out. Essentially, the 3 contenders, Raceland, Fairview, and Paintsville, all lost good lines with good size, but return a bunch of skill guys. Over all I say paintsville has a leg up from a program stand point. There's enough tallent however, in Ramland and "The Wood"(still makes me chuckle that they can refer to themselves as that...we all know where the real wood resides) to make this one of the toughest dostricts in 1A
