I wonder if there is somebody who can fix a birth certificate for us. I would like to see Jonathan Jackson back in uniform as well.

I doubt the rest of 1a would be ok with that.

Leslie Co, Leslie Co, Leslie Co. It used to be Wburg, Wburg, Wburg. 64, we aint worried bout Wburg or Leslie Co. We are worried bout Mayfield. You know you wanna join the bandwagon. You might as well jump on since you cant figure out which team you wanna settle on. At least you stand a much better chance of winning that way.

If he really wants to win, he should go for Mayfield, Central and PT.

Yeah that would make an even 10 for him to adopt this year, im just not sold on pt that's why I didn't list them.

You will be sold on PT within the next 3 years. You can write it down. Their new coach is the missing ingredient. When you have out of this world talent, very good size and a history, then you add in discipline, you just made a dynasty.

Dynasty thats a strong prediction. Do you think tilghman will start owning mayfield. If you think tilghman is fixin to be a dynasty in 3a mayfield may be in trouble against them, lets not forget tilghman wasnt doing that great in perry thomas last few years there either.

Yes, I think we are going to start taking some losses again. I don't want to but they have 2-3 times the athletes. They usually have more size and speed than we do. The difference has been the coaching. Now they are narrowing that gap.

Hopefully it will take them a few years to get it going. Hopefully mayfield will compete with them even in years they lose.

We will always compete. I just think they are gonna start winning more against us.

Well, its not tilghman im worried about. This could be mayfields last descent chance for awhile, cause in 2015 its up to 2a with the powerhouse leslie county waiting to obliterate whoever comes out of the west in bowling green.
05-29-2014, 01:03 PM
I know you are ruffling 64's feathers but, in 2 years from now we will be able to compete in 5a. I really think we are about to be as loaded as we have ever been.

Watch and see. 2 years from now we will have as much team speed at every position as we have ever had. We will have more depth than I can remember us having. The soph class of next year has more talent across the board than jj's class. The freshmen of next year are just about the same. The juniors of next year have about 6-7 kids that will contribute a lot as well. The number of kids are growing as well. Next yrs senior class has 14 football players. The jrs of next yr have 11 football players. The sophs have 16. Most all of these kids will contribute in a positive way as well.

I hope you are right but I can hear the mayfield bashing already for saying they could compete in 5a. I'll agree they could with most of them, but when you get to the very top I would say no. Teams like highlands and bowling green are on another level. I seen St x play in person in 07 and I would say there is not way I think may field could keep it that close with a team with that much talent.

We beat a 5a team that made it to final 8 last year. We beat a 3a team that made it to final 8 last year. We beat a final 4 2a team last year. I'm not saying we would win it all. I said we will be able to compete at 5a. Watch what I'm telling you before you des credit it.

Check the halftime score of BG and GC last year. We could compete.

mysonis55 Wrote:Check the halftime score of BG and GC last year. We could compete.Yes some years but check the score of mayfield and Marshall county in 07, then check the score of Marshall county and bg that same year. And bg didn't even win 5a that year cause they got throttled by highlands. I think we will just have to agree that it depends on the year and how strong mayfield is and how strong the bigger school teams are that particular year.

Maybe my eyes aint what they used to be, but i think i just seen trajon bright walking as school let out, and he looked alot more muscular than he did last time i seen him in december.

Well I specified the next 3 years. I didn't say that randomly we would. Yes, Bright has been hitting the weights. He also will hit his growth spurt over the summer. I can't wait til he gets his dad's size.

Fair enough mayfield is definitly on a roll now. And i do realize that 07 wasnt a paticularly strong year for mayfield im suprised you didnt call me out on that, i would have. Bright is still alittle short but besides that i only knew it was him cause i seen his face up close, but dang he aint nearly as skinny as he was 6 months ago.

His dad and mom are tall. He is just 14. He will shoot up over the summer.
